Then the angel of the Lord ordered Gad to tell David to go up and build an altar to the Lord on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

Then the angel of the Lord ordered Gad to tell David to go up to the threshing floor of Araunah, the Jebusite. He wanted David to build an altar there to honor the Lord.

Now the angel of the Lord had commanded Gad to say to David that David should go up and raise an altar to the Lord on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

So the angel of the Lord ordered Gad to tell David to go and set up an altar to the Lord on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

主之使者謂腓立曰、起而往南、適耶路撒冷至迦薩之道、其道乃曠野、遂起而往、遇伊提約伯人、乃伊提約伯女王干大基有權之宦官、司其諸庫者、彼已上耶路撒冷、崇拜而返、乘車讀先知以賽亞書、聖神謂腓立曰、前往就此車、腓立趨就之、聞其讀先知以賽亞書、乃問曰、爾所讀者明否、曰、無啟迪我者、何能明乎、遂請腓立登車同坐、所讀之經曰、彼如羊被牽就死地、其不啟口、如羔在翦毛者之前而無聲、其卑微時、人廢公義而審之、其生命且滅於世、誰能述其世代乎、宦官謂腓立曰、請問先知言此指誰、指己乎、指他人乎、腓立乃啟口、本此經向彼傳耶穌福音、行路時、至有水處、宦官曰、在此有水、我受洗禮、有何阻乎、腓立曰、若爾盡心以信則可、對曰、我信耶穌基督為天主之子、遂命停車、腓立與宦官二人同下水、施之洗禮、由水而上、主之神攝腓立去、宦官不復見之、乃欣然行路、腓立被引至亞瑣都、經行諸邑傳福音、以至該撒利亞、
