They ate and drank with great joy in the presence of the Lord that day. Then they acknowledged Solomon son of David as king a second time, anointing him before the Lord to be ruler and Zadok to be priest.

They ate and drank with great joy that day. They did it in front of the Lord. Then they announced a second time that Solomon was king. He was the son of David. They anointed Solomon in front of the Lord. They anointed him to be ruler. They also anointed Zadok to be priest.

And they ate and drank before the Lord on that day with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and they anointed him as prince for the Lord, and Zadok as priest.

They feasted and drank in the Lord’s presence with great joy that day. And again they crowned David’s son Solomon as their new king. They anointed him before the Lord as their leader, and they anointed Zadok as priest.

爾莫若以欣喜食爾之餅、以歡心飲爾之酒、因天主已悅爾之所為、

在彼在主前食之食之或作以祭肉筵宴且與眷屬可欣喜歡樂、因所為之事、蒙主爾之天主賜福也、或作在彼在主爾之天主前爾與眷屬依主爾之天主於爾所為之事賜爾之福筵宴歡樂

拔示巴俯伏於地拜王曰、願我主我王大衛萬歲、

我知世人終身、惟有喜樂與行善為美、第人能食飲、能享勞碌所得者、亦為天主所賜、

則凡我所命爾獻者、即火焚祭、平安祭、應輸之什一、舉獻之祭、於主前許願欲獻之美祭、爾俱當攜之至主爾天主所選為其名所在之處、爾與子女奴婢、及居爾邑中在爾間無分無業之利未人、俱喜樂於主爾天主之前、

當諭此世之富者、心勿驕傲、勿恃無定之財、惟恃永生天主、厚賜我眾百物以享之、故命富者為善、積累美事、喜於施舍、樂於濟眾、

我稱譽喜樂、以為人在日下、莫美於食飲宴樂、天主使人生在日下勞碌終身、所得者惟此、

守節期之時、爾與子女奴婢、及居於爾邑之利未人、客旅孤寡、俱必歡樂、七日間當守節期在主爾天主前、於主所選之處、爾之物產、爾之操作、既蒙主爾天主賜福、則必欣喜歡樂、爾之一切丁男、當一年三次、即除酵節、七七節、居廬節、至主爾天主所選之處、以覲主爾之天主、覲主之時、毋徒手而至、各隨其力、循主爾天主所賜之福、以獻禮物、○

民眾遂往而食飲、亦分以予人、且大喜樂、因明所訓之之言、

七月二十三日、王遣民各歸其家、家原文作幕民念主所施大衛、所羅門、及其民以色列之諸恩、則歡欣喜樂、

天主並不降罰於以色列之尊者、彼瞻覲天主、式飲式食、○

若言人既勞碌、莫若以食以飲、安享其樂、我又見其權在乎天主、
