Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying,“ Oh that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my border! May your hand be with me, and may you keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” God granted him that which he requested.

雅比斯籲以色列之上帝曰、願爾錫我福祉、擴我土宇、扶我以手、俾免遭難遇苦、上帝允其所祈、

雅必禱以色列族之上帝、曰、願爾錫嘏於我、恢擴四境、眷祐乎我、免遭患難、毫無所憂。上帝允其所祈。

雅比斯禱以色列之天主曰、求主賜福於我、廣我境土、常眷祐我、免我遭患難、有愁苦、天主允其所求、

Jabez cried out to the God of Israel,“ Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.

Jabez cried out to the God of Israel. He said,“ I wish you would bless me. I wish you would give me more territory. Let your power protect me. Keep me from harm. Then I won’t have any pain.” God gave him what he asked for.

Jabez called upon the God of Israel, saying,“ Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from harm so that it might not bring me pain!” And God granted what he asked.

He was the one who prayed to the God of Israel,“ Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory! Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all trouble and pain!” And God granted him his request.

Jabez called out to the God of Israel,“ If only you would bless me, extend my border, let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm, so that I will not experience pain.” And God granted his request.

Now Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying,“ Oh that You would greatly bless me and extend my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and that You would keep me from harm so that it would not hurt me!” And God brought about what he requested.

And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying,“ Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.

And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my border, and that thy hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it be not to my sorrow! And God granted him that which he requested.

Jabez called out to the God of Israel:“ If only You would bless me, extend my border, let Your hand be with me, and keep me from harm, so that I will not cause any pain.” And God granted his request.

And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep[ me] from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

Jabez called out to the God of Israel,“ If only you would greatly bless me and expand my territory! May your hand be with me! Keep me from harm so I might not endure pain!” God answered his prayer.

“ Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you.For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.Or who is there among you, who, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?Or if he asks for a fish, who will give him a serpent?If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!

I love Yahweh, because he listens to my voice, and my cries for mercy.Because he has turned his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live.The cords of death surrounded me, the pains of Sheol got a hold of me. I found trouble and sorrow.Then I called on Yahweh’s name:“ Yahweh, I beg you, deliver my soul.”

Yahweh’s blessing brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it.

I give eternal life to them. They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.

‘ Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and difficult things, which you don’t know.’

Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me for his heavenly Kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Let your hand be ready to help me, for I have chosen your precepts.

But most certainly, God has listened. He has heard the voice of my prayer.Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer, nor his loving kindness from me.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

He asked life of you and you gave it to him, even length of days forever and ever.

The poor and needy seek water, and there is none. Their tongue fails for thirst. I, Yahweh, will answer them. I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.

As for me, I will call on God. Yahweh will save me.

For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich to all who call on him.For,“ Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher?

He erected an altar there, and called it El Elohe Israel.

to the assembly of God which is at Corinth— those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called saints, with all who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, both theirs and ours:

The children of Joseph spoke to Joshua, saying,“ Why have you given me just one lot and one part for an inheritance, since we are a numerous people, because Yahweh has blessed us so far?”Joshua said to them,“ If you are a numerous people, go up to the forest, and clear land for yourself there in the land of the Perizzites and of the Rephaim; since the hill country of Ephraim is too narrow for you.”The children of Joseph said,“ The hill country is not enough for us. All the Canaanites who dwell in the land of the valley have chariots of iron, both those who are in Beth Shean and its towns, and those who are in the valley of Jezreel.”Joshua spoke to the house of Joseph, that is, to Ephraim and to Manasseh, saying,“ You are a numerous people, and have great power. You shall not have one lot only;but the hill country shall be yours. Although it is a forest, you shall cut it down, and it’s farthest extent shall be yours; for you shall drive out the Canaanites, though they have chariots of iron, and though they are strong.”

Now, Yahweh my God, you have made your servant king instead of David my father. I am just a little child. I don’t know how to go out or come in.Your servant is among your people which you have chosen, a great people, that can’t be numbered or counted for multitude.Give your servant therefore an understanding heart to judge your people, that I may discern between good and evil; for who is able to judge this great people of yours?”This request pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.God said to him,“ Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked for yourself long life, nor have you asked for riches for yourself, nor have you asked for the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice;behold, I have done according to your word. Behold, I have given you a wise and understanding heart; so that there has been no one like you before you, and after you none will arise like you.I have also given you that which you have not asked, both riches and honor, so that there will not be any among the kings like you for all your days.

the angel who has redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads, and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac. Let them grow into a multitude upon the earth.”

Let me hear joy and gladness, that the bones which you have broken may rejoice.

Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel was among those who call on his name. They called on Yahweh, and he answered them.

I will make of you a great nation. I will bless you and make your name great. You will be a blessing.

You who hear prayer, all men will come to you.

The man said,“ Let me go, for the day breaks.” Jacob said,“ I won’t let you go unless you bless me.”

He left from there to go to the mountain on the east of Bethel and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Ai on the east. There he built an altar to Yahweh and called on Yahweh’s name.

You will make your prayer to him, and he will hear you. You will pay your vows.You will also decree a thing, and it will be established to you. Light will shine on your ways.

He said,“ Your name will no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have fought with God and with men, and have prevailed.”

His name endures forever. His name continues as long as the sun. Men shall be blessed by him. All nations will call him blessed.

Peter remembered the word which Jesus had said to him,“ Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” Then he went out and wept bitterly.

When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.For day and night your hand was heavy on me. My strength was sapped in the heat of summer. Selah.

Oh give thanks to Yahweh. Call on his name. Make what he has done known among the peoples.

As many as I love, I reprove and chasten. Be zealous therefore, and repent.

Manasseh didn’t drive out the inhabitants of Beth Shean and its towns, nor Taanach and its towns, nor the inhabitants of Dor and its towns, nor the inhabitants of Ibleam and its towns, nor the inhabitants of Megiddo and its towns; but the Canaanites would dwell in that land.When Israel had grown strong, they put the Canaanites to forced labor, and didn’t utterly drive them out.Ephraim didn’t drive out the Canaanites who lived in Gezer, but the Canaanites lived in Gezer among them.Zebulun didn’t drive out the inhabitants of Kitron, nor the inhabitants of Nahalol; but the Canaanites lived among them, and became subject to forced labor.Asher didn’t drive out the inhabitants of Acco, nor the inhabitants of Sidon, nor of Ahlab, nor of Achzib, nor of Helbah, nor of Aphik, nor of Rehob;but the Asherites lived among the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land, for they didn’t drive them out.Naphtali didn’t drive out the inhabitants of Beth Shemesh, nor the inhabitants of Beth Anath; but he lived among the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land. Nevertheless the inhabitants of Beth Shemesh and of Beth Anath became subject to forced labor.The Amorites forced the children of Dan into the hill country, for they would not allow them to come down to the valley;but the Amorites would dwell in Mount Heres, in Aijalon, and in Shaalbim. Yet the hand of the house of Joseph prevailed, so that they became subject to forced labor.The border of the Amorites was from the ascent of Akrabbim, from the rock, and upward.

Restore to me the joy of your salvation. Uphold me with a willing spirit.

saying,“ If you, even you, had known today the things which belong to your peace! But now, they are hidden from your eyes.

Then Eli answered,“ Go in peace; and may the God of Israel grant your petition that you have asked of him.”

Remove far from me falsehood and lies. Give me neither poverty nor riches. Feed me with the food that is needful for me,

I am like one who is a joke to his neighbor, I, who called on God, and he answered. The just, the blameless man is a joke.

Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.’

God, having raised up his servant Jesus, sent him to you first to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your wickedness.”

For your obedience has become known to all. I rejoice therefore over you. But I desire to have you wise in that which is good, but innocent in that which is evil.

He said to him the third time,“ Simon, son of Jonah, do you have affection for me?” Peter was grieved because he asked him the third time,“ Do you have affection for me?” He said to him,“ Lord, you know everything. You know that I have affection for you.” Jesus said to him,“ Feed my sheep.

Don’t grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good.

But I determined this for myself, that I would not come to you again in sorrow.For if I make you grieve, then who will make me glad but he who is made to grieve by me?And I wrote this very thing to you, so that, when I came, I wouldn’t have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy would be shared by all of you.For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you with many tears, not that you should be made to grieve, but that you might know the love that I have so abundantly for you.But if any has caused sorrow, he has caused sorrow, not to me, but in part( that I not press too heavily) to you all.This punishment which was inflicted by the many is sufficient for such a one;so that on the contrary you should rather forgive him and comfort him, lest by any means such a one should be swallowed up with his excessive sorrow.
