你感谢的固然是好，无奈不能造就别人。

你若因食物叫弟兄忧愁，就不是按着爱人的道理行。基督已经替他死，你不可因你的食物叫他败坏。

所以，我们务要追求和睦的事与彼此建立德行的事。不可因食物毁坏神的工程。凡物固然洁净，但有人因食物叫人跌倒，就是他的罪了。

我们坚固的人应该担代不坚固人的软弱，不求自己的喜悦。我们各人务要叫邻舍喜悦，使他得益处，建立德行。

弟兄们，这却怎么样呢？你们聚会的时候，各人或有诗歌，或有教训，或有启示，或有方言，或有翻出来的话，凡事都当造就人。

你们到如今，还想我们是向你们分诉；我们本是在基督里当神面前说话。亲爱的弟兄啊，一切的事都是为造就你们。

也不可听从荒渺无凭的话语和无穷的家谱；这等事只生辩论，并不发明神在信上所立的章程。

你们也是如此，既是切慕属灵的恩赐，就当求多得造就教会的恩赐。

论到祭偶像之物，我们晓得我们都有知识。但知识是叫人自高自大，惟有爱心能造就人。

但作先知讲道的，是对人说，要造就、安慰、劝勉人。说方言的，是造就自己；作先知讲道的，乃是造就教会。我愿意你们都说方言，更愿意你们作先知讲道；因为说方言的，若不翻出来，使教会被造就，那作先知讲道的，就比他强了。
