现在我有话要吩咐你们，不是称赞你们，因为你们聚会不但无益，反而有害。

还是被君王派来赏善罚恶的官员。

难道你们不可以在家里吃喝吗？还是你们轻看上帝的教会，存心羞辱那些贫穷的弟兄姊妹呢？我该说什么呢？称赞你们吗？不可能！

所以，如果你们在聚会中，全体信徒都说方言，偶然有不懂方言的人或非信徒进来，他们岂不会说你们全都疯了吗？

对同胞不可心中怀恨。同胞有错，要当面指正，免得自己因他而担罪。

不要停止聚会，像那些停止惯了的人，要互相鼓励，特别是你们知道主再来的日子近了。

你们偷盗、谋杀、通奸、起假誓、向巴力献祭、拜素不认识的神明，然后来到这用来敬拜我的殿，站在我面前说自己安全了，以为可以继续做可憎之事。

“你要高声呼喊，不要停止；要放声高呼，像响亮的号角。要向我的子民宣告他们的过犯，向雅各家宣告他们的罪恶。他们天天寻求我，好像渴慕认识我的律法，俨然像没有丢弃他们上帝法令的正义之邦。他们向我求公义的判决，似乎渴慕到我面前。他们说，‘我们禁食，你为什么不看呢？我们刻苦己身，你为什么不理睬呢？’我说，‘看啊，禁食之日你们仍然随心所欲，压榨你们的工人。你们一面禁食，一面争闹打斗，彼此恶拳相向。不要指望这样的禁食会使你们的祷告在天上蒙垂听。

如果有人饥饿，可以在家中先吃，免得你们聚会的时候自招审判。至于其余的事，等我到了以后再安排。

那么，弟兄姊妹，你们该怎么做呢？你们聚会的时候，不管是唱诗、教导、讲启示、说方言或翻译方言，都应该是为了造就人。

我赞赏你们，因为你们凡事都想到我，并坚守我传给你们的各种教导。

开诚布公的责备胜过隐藏的爱。

你们聚会的时候，不是在吃主的晚餐。

不要再带毫无意义的祭物了。我憎恶你们烧的香，厌恶你们的朔日、安息日和大会。你们又作恶又举行庄严的聚会，令我无法容忍。我憎恶你们的朔日及其他节期，它们成了我的重担，令我厌倦。

掌权者不是叫行善的惧怕，而是叫作恶的惧怕。你想不怕掌权的吗？就要行得正，这样你会得到称赞。
