即其所派之督撫、亦無非為懲惡勸善而設也。

然則兄弟究應如何？爾等聚會時、各有貢獻、或以聖詠、或以教理、或以啟示、或以方言、或以繙譯；總之、亦在己立立人、己達達人而已矣。

爾等事事以予為懷、且能遵守予之教訓、誠可嘉也；

竊謂爾等集會、其意不在聖餐也。

夫官長之可懼、惟於犯罪作惡者為然。苟能守分安己、亦何懼之有？爾願不惴其權威乎？則宜行善。如此彼將賞爾之不暇、奚遑加爾以刑哉！
