I praise you for remembering me in everything and for holding to the traditions just as I passed them on to you.

I praise you for being faithful in remembering me. I also praise you for staying true to the teachings of the past. You have stayed true to them, just as I gave them to you.

Now I commend you because you remember me in everything and maintain the traditions even as I delivered them to you.

I am so glad that you always keep me in your thoughts, and that you are following the teachings I passed on to you.

所以，各位弟兄姊妹，务要坚定不移，无论是我们信上的教导还是口头的教导，你们都要坚守。

正因如此，我派了提摩太去你们那里。他在主里忠心耿耿，是我所爱的孩子。他会提醒你们我在基督里如何行事为人，在各地、各教会如何教导人。

现在我有话要吩咐你们，不是称赞你们，因为你们聚会不但无益，反而有害。

难道你们不可以在家里吃喝吗？还是你们轻看上帝的教会，存心羞辱那些贫穷的弟兄姊妹呢？我该说什么呢？称赞你们吗？不可能！

你们若持守我传给你们的，必因这福音而得救——除非你们没有真正相信。

弟兄姊妹，现在我们奉主耶稣基督的名吩咐你们，要远离那些游手好闲、不遵守我们教导的信徒。

最后，弟兄姊妹，既然你们领受了我们的教导，知道怎样行才能讨上帝的喜悦，如你们现在所行的，我们靠着主耶稣恳求、劝勉你们要更加努力。你们都知道我们靠着主耶稣传给你们的诫命。

夫妻二人遵行主的一切诫命和条例，无可指责，在上帝眼中是义人。

她的儿女肃立，为她祝福，她的丈夫也称赞她，说：“世上贤德的女子很多，唯有你无与伦比。”艳丽是虚假的，美貌是短暂的，唯有敬畏耶和华的女子配得称赞。愿她享受自己的劳动成果，愿她的事迹使她在城门口受称赞。

各人应当依照上帝的呼召和安排生活，这是我对各教会的吩咐。

现在，提摩太刚从你们那里回来，把有关你们信心和爱心的好消息告诉了我们。他说你们常常思念我们，很想见到我们，就像我们渴望见到你们一样。
