for when you are eating, some of you go ahead with your own private suppers. As a result, one person remains hungry and another gets drunk.

suffering harm as the payment for unrighteousness. They consider it a pleasure to carouse in the daytime. They are spots and blemishes, delighting in their deceptions as they feast with you.

The cup of blessing that we give thanks for, is it not a sharing in the blood of Christ? The bread that we break, is it not a sharing in the body of Christ?Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for all of us share that one bread.Look at the people of Israel. Do not those who eat the sacrifices participate in what is offered on the altar?

For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: On the night when He was betrayed, the Lord Jesus took bread,gave thanks, broke it, and said,“ This is My body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.”In the same way, after supper He also took the cup and said,“ This cup is the new covenant established by My blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”
