当号筒发出响声，他要差派使者，把他的选民从四方，从天这边到天那边都招聚来。

因为主必亲自从天降临，那时，有发令的声音，有天使长的呼声，还有神的号声，那些在基督里死了的人必先复活；然后，我们还活着存留的人，必和他们一同被提到云里，在空中与主相会。这样，我们就要和主常常同在。

我实实在在告诉你们，时候将到，现在就是了，死人要听见神儿子的声音，听见的人就要活了。

你们不要把这事看作希奇，因为时候将到，那时所有在坟墓里的都要听见他的声音，

到那日，必有大号角吹响，那些在亚述地快要灭亡的，以及那些被赶散在埃及地的，都要前来，在耶路撒冷的圣山上敬拜耶和华。

但主的日子必要像贼一样来到。在那日，天必轰然一声地消失，所有元素都因烈火而融化；地和地上所有的，都要被烧毁（“被烧毁”有不少古抄本作“被发现”）。

死人复活也是这样。所种的是必朽坏的，复活的是不朽坏的；

我观看，就听见一只在高空飞翔的鹰，大声说：“有祸了！有祸了！住在地上的人有祸了！因为还有三位天使将要吹其余的号。”

第六位天使吹号，我听见有一个声音从神面前金坛的四角发出来，对拿着号筒的第六位天使说：“把捆绑在幼发拉底大河的那四个使者放了吧！”

耶和华必在他子民头上显现，他的箭必像闪电一般射出；主耶和华必吹起号角，乘着南方的暴风而行。

我看见站在神面前的七位天使，有七枝号筒赐给了他们。

世上所有的居民，住在全地上的人哪！山上竖起旗帜的时候，你们要注意；号角吹响的时候，你们要聆听。

他们忽然间成了多么荒凉，被突然的惊恐完全消灭。

弟兄们，我告诉你们，血肉之体不能承受神的国，必朽坏的也不能承受那不朽坏的。

到了第三天早晨的时候，山上有雷声、闪电和密云，并且角声非常强大，以致所有在营中的人民都颤抖。

这人见刀剑临到那地，就吹响号角，警告众人；

全体人民都看见打雷、闪电、角声和冒着烟的山；人民看见了，就颤抖，远远地站着。

耶和华对摩西说：“你要对以色列人说：‘你们是硬着颈项的民；我若是霎时间与你们同行，我会把你们消灭的；所以，现在你们要把你们身上的装饰脱下来，使我知道我要怎样处置你们。’”

如果单吹一枝，众领袖，就是以色列的族长，都要到你那里聚集。

“你们要离开这会众，我好在眨眼间把他们消灭。”他们二人就俯伏在地。

但是，那守望的人若见刀剑临到，却不吹响号角，以致人民没有受到警告，刀剑来把他们中间的一个人除灭；那人虽然因自己的罪孽被除灭，我却要因他的死追究守望的人。’

“你们要离开这会众，我好在眨眼间把他们吞灭。”
