And now I will show you a way that is beyond comparison.If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but I do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.And if I have prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so that I can remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.If I give away everything I own, and if I give over my body in order to boast, but do not have love, I receive no benefit.Love is patient, love is kind, it is not envious. Love does not brag, it is not puffed up.It is not rude, it is not self- serving, it is not easily angered or resentful.It is not glad about injustice, but rejoices in the truth.It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.Love never ends. But if there are prophecies, they will be set aside; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be set aside.For we know in part, and we prophesy in part,but when what is perfect comes, the partial will be set aside.When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. But when I became an adult, I set aside childish ways.For now we see in a mirror indirectly, but then we will see face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, just as I have been fully known.And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.Pursue love and be eager for the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy.

Owe no one anything, except to love one another, for the one who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.For the commandments,“ Do not commit adultery, do not murder, do not steal, do not covet,”( and if there is any other commandment) are summed up in this,“ Love your neighbor as yourself.”Love does no wrong to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

For if your brother or sister is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer walking in love. Do not destroy by your food someone for whom Christ died.

With regard to food sacrificed to idols, we know that“ we all have knowledge.” Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.

But the aim of our instruction is love that comes from a pure heart, a good conscience, and a sincere faith.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

Now on the topic of brotherly love you have no need for anyone to write you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another.And indeed you are practicing it toward all the brothers and sisters in all of Macedonia. But we urge you, brothers and sisters, to do so more and more,

Marriage must be honored among all and the marriage bed kept undefiled, for God will judge sexually immoral people and adulterers.

Dear friends, let us love one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been fathered by God and knows God.The person who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

We ought to thank God always for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith flourishes more and more and the love of each one of you all for one another is ever greater.

Therefore, if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort provided by love, any fellowship in the Spirit, any affection or mercy,complete my joy and be of the same mind, by having the same love, being united in spirit, and having one purpose.Instead of being motivated by selfish ambition or vanity, each of you should, in humility, be moved to treat one another as more important than yourself.

to godliness, brotherly affection; to brotherly affection, unselfish love.

This I command you– to love one another.

I, therefore, the prisoner for the Lord, urge you to live worthily of the calling with which you have been called,with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love,making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

But now Timothy has come to us from you and given us the good news of your faith and love and that you always think of us with affection and long to see us just as we also long to see you!

And may the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love for one another and for all, just as we do for you,
