兄弟乎、觀爾蒙召者、以世俗而論、智者不多、能者不多、貴者不多、乃天主選世之愚者、以愧智者、選世之弱者、以愧強者、天主又選世之卑賤者、被藐視者、人所視為無有者、以廢世之有者、

其心愚頑、至於今日、讀舊約時、其帕尚存未除、此帕惟賴基督可除、

眾曰、爾父何在、耶穌曰、爾不識我、亦不識我父、爾若識我、亦必識我父、

夫光臨世、而人因所行者惡、愛暗而不愛光、定罪之故、即在此也、蓋凡作不善者、惡光而不就光、恐其所行被責、惟循真理而行者就光、以彰其所行、乃遵天主而行也、○

當時耶穌曰、父歟、天地之主、我讚爾、因爾藏斯道於知者達者、而顯之於赤子、
