有妻者則注意世故、兼欲取悅於妻、則分心矣。

But a married man is concerned about the affairs of this world— how he can please his wife—

But a married man is concerned about the matters of this world. He wants to know how he can please his wife.

But the married man is anxious about worldly things, how to please his wife,

But a married man has to think about his earthly responsibilities and how to please his wife.

But the married man is concerned about the things of the world— how he may please his wife—

But he who is married cares about the things of the world— how he may please his wife.

but he that is married is careful for the things of the world, how he may please his wife,

You husbands in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with someone weaker, since she is a woman; and show her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered.

Husbands, love your wives and do not become bitter against them.

The husband must fulfill his duty to his wife, and likewise the wife also to her husband.

Now there was a great outcry of the people and of their wives against their Jewish brothers.For there were those who said,“ We, our sons, and our daughters are many; therefore let’s get grain so that we may eat and live.”And there were others who said,“ We are mortgaging our fields, our vineyards, and our houses so that we might get grain because of the famine.”There also were those who said,“ We have borrowed money for the king’s tax on our fields and our vineyards.And now our flesh is like the flesh of our brothers, our children like their children. Yet behold, we are forcing our sons and our daughters to be slaves, and some of our daughters are forced into bondage already, and we are helpless because our fields and vineyards belong to others.”

And He said to His disciples,“ For this reason I tell you, do not worry about your life, as to what you are to eat; nor for your body, as to what you are to wear.

When the day came that Elkanah sacrificed, he would give portions to his wife Peninnah and to all her sons and daughters;but to Hannah he would give a double portion, because he loved Hannah, but the Lord had closed her womb.Her rival, moreover, would provoke her bitterly to irritate her, because the Lord had closed her womb.And it happened year after year, as often as she went up to the house of the Lord, that she would provoke her; so she wept and would not eat.Then Elkanah her husband would say to her,“ Hannah, why do you weep, and why do you not eat, and why is your heart sad? Am I not better to you than ten sons?”

and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life and attend to your own business and work with your hands, just as we instructed you,so that you will behave properly toward outsiders and not be in any need.

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her,so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.So husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself;for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church,because we are parts of His body.For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church.Nevertheless, as for you individually, each husband is to love his own wife the same as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband.

But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
