Forasmuch as I exalted thee out of the dust, and made thee prince over my people Israel, and thou hast walked in the way of Jeroboam, and hast made my people Israel to sin, to provoke me to anger with their sins;

“我从尘土中提拔你，立你为我以色列子民的王，你却重蹈耶罗波安的覆辙，使我的子民陷入罪中，惹我发怒。

“我既然从尘埃中高举了你，立你作我的子民以色列的领袖；然而，你却走耶罗波安的路，使我的子民以色列犯罪，因他们的罪惹我发怒。

「我既從塵埃中提拔你，立你作我民以色列的君，你竟行耶羅波安所行的道，使我民以色列陷在罪裏，惹我發怒，

「我既從塵埃中提拔你，立你作我百姓以色列的君王，你竟行耶羅波安所行的道，使我的百姓以色列陷入罪裏，以他們的罪惹我發怒，

「我既從塵埃中提拔你，立你作我百姓以色列的君王，你竟行耶羅波安所行的道，使我的百姓以色列陷入罪裏，以他們的罪惹我發怒，

「我從塵土中提拔你，立你為我以色列子民的王，你卻重蹈耶羅波安的覆轍，使我的子民陷入罪中，惹我發怒。

“我既然從塵埃中高舉了你，立你作我的子民以色列的領袖；然而，你卻走耶羅波安的路，使我的子民以色列犯罪，因他們的罪惹我發怒。

『我既從塵土中舉起了你，立你做人君來管理我人民以色列，你竟走耶羅波安所走的路，使我人民以色列犯了罪，用他們的罪來惹我發怒，

昔我舉爾於塵埃、立為我民以色列之君、而爾行耶羅波安之道、使我民以色列陷罪、激我之怒、

昔爾辱在泥塗、我舉爾為王、治我以色列族之民、爾從耶羅破暗所為、使以色列族犯罪、干我震怒、

我自塵埃中舉爾、立爾為我民以色列之君、乃爾從耶羅波安所為、使我民以色列人陷於罪、作惡干犯我怒、

“ I lifted you up from the dust and appointed you ruler over my people Israel, but you followed the ways of Jeroboam and caused my people Israel to sin and to arouse my anger by their sins.

“ I lifted you up from the dust. I appointed you king over my people Israel. But you lived the way Jeroboam had lived. You also caused my people Israel to sin. And their sins made me very angry.

“ Since I exalted you out of the dust and made you leader over my people Israel, and you have walked in the way of Jeroboam and have made my people Israel to sin, provoking me to anger with their sins,

“ I lifted you out of the dust to make you ruler of my people Israel, but you have followed the evil example of Jeroboam. You have provoked my anger by causing my people Israel to sin.

“ Because I raised you up from the dust and made you ruler over my people Israel, but you have walked in the ways of Jeroboam and have caused my people Israel to sin, angering me with their sins,

“ Since I exalted you from the dust and made you leader over My people Israel, and you have walked in the way of Jeroboam and have misled My people Israel into sin, provoking Me to anger with their sins,

“ Inasmuch as I lifted you out of the dust and made you ruler over My people Israel, and you have walked in the way of Jeroboam, and have made My people Israel sin, to provoke Me to anger with their sins,

“ Because I raised you up from the dust and made you ruler over My people Israel, but you have walked in the way of Jeroboam and have caused My people Israel to sin, provoking Me with their sins,

“ I raised you up from the dust and made you ruler over my people Israel. Yet you followed in Jeroboam’s footsteps and encouraged my people Israel to sin; their sins have made me angry.

“ Because I exalted you out of the dust, and made you prince over my people Israel, and you have walked in the way of Jeroboam, and have made my people Israel to sin, to provoke me to anger with their sins;

And he did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, and walked in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin.

Go, tell Jeroboam, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel: Forasmuch as I exalted thee from among the people, and made thee prince over my people Israel,

He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, He lifteth up the needy from the dunghill, To make them sit with princes, And inherit the throne of glory: For the pillars of the earth are Jehovah’s, And he hath set the world upon them.

He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, And lifteth up the needy from the dunghill;That he may set him with princes, Even with the princes of his people.

After this thing Jeroboam returned not from his evil way, but made again from among all the people priests of the high places: whosoever would, he consecrated him, that there might be priests of the high places.And this thing became sin unto the house of Jeroboam, even to cut it off, and to destroy it from off the face of the earth.

And there came a man of God unto Eli, and said unto him, Thus saith Jehovah, Did I reveal myself unto the house of thy father, when they were in Egypt in bondage to Pharaoh’s house?and did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to go up unto mine altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give unto the house of thy father all the offerings of the children of Israel made by fire?

Nay, my sons; for it is no good report that I hear: ye make Jehovah’s people to transgress.

And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;and I gave thee thy master’s house, and thy master’s wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would have added unto thee such and such things.Wherefore hast thou despised the word of Jehovah, to do that which is evil in his sight? thou hast smitten Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thy house, because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.Thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house; and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbor, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.

He hath put down princes from their thrones, And hath exalted them of low degree.

Now therefore, I pray thee, let my lord the king hear the words of his servant. If it be Jehovah that hath stirred thee up against me, let him accept an offering: but if it be the children of men, cursed be they before Jehovah; for they have driven me out this day that I should not cleave unto the inheritance of Jehovah, saying, Go, serve other gods.

And Samuel said, Though thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel? And Jehovah anointed thee king over Israel;and Jehovah sent thee on a journey, and said, Go, and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed.Wherefore then didst thou not obey the voice of Jehovah, but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah?

And Moses said unto Aaron, What did this people unto thee, that thou hast brought a great sin upon them?

Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

And he will give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, which he hath sinned, and wherewith he hath made Israel to sin.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin.
