Now Ben-Hadad king of Aram mustered his entire army. Accompanied by thirty-two kings with their horses and chariots, he went up and besieged Samaria and attacked it.

Ben- Hadad brought his whole army together. He was king of Aram. He went up to Samaria. He took 32 kings and their horses and chariots with him. All of them surrounded Samaria and attacked it.

So Ben hadad listened to King Asa and sent the commanders of his armies against the cities of Israel, and conquered Ijon, Dan, Abel beth maacah, and all Chinneroth, besides all the land of Naphtali.

Now the king of Aram had commanded the thirty two commanders of his chariots, saying,“ Do not fight with the small or great, but only with the king of Israel.”

Now the Philistines assembled to fight with Israel, thirty thousand chariots and six thousand horsemen, and people like the sand which is on the seashore in abundance; and they came up and camped in Michmash, east of Beth aven.

And Adoni bezek said,“ Seventy kings with their thumbs and their big toes cut off used to gather up scraps under my table; as I have done, so God has repaid me.” So they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died there.

And he purchased the hill Samaria from Shemer for two talents of silver; and he built on the hill, and named the city which he built Samaria, after the name of Shemer, the owner of the hill.

“ When you go out to battle against your enemies and see horses, chariots, and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, who brought you up from the land of Egypt, is with you.

I will also bring upon you a sword which will execute vengeance for the covenant; and when you gather together into your cities, I will send a plague among you, so that you will be handed over to the enemy.

Then Elisha came to Damascus. Now Ben hadad, the king of Aram, was sick, and it was told to him, saying,“ The man of God has come here.”And the king said to Hazael,“ Take a gift in your hand and go to meet the man of God, and inquire of the Lord by him, saying,‘ Will I recover from this sickness?’ ”So Hazael went to meet him and took a gift in his hand, even every kind of good thing of Damascus, forty camels’ loads; and he came and stood before him and said,“ Your son Ben hadad king of Aram has sent me to you, saying,‘ Will I recover from this sickness?’ ”Then Elisha said to him,“ Go, say to him,‘ You will certainly recover’; but the Lord has shown me that he will certainly die.”

Then Asa brought out silver and gold from the treasuries of the house of the Lord and the king’s house, and sent it to Ben hadad king of Aram, who lived in Damascus, saying,“ A treaty must be made between you and me, as there was between my father and your father. Behold, I have sent you silver and gold; go, break your treaty with Baasha king of Israel so that he will withdraw from me.”And Ben hadad listened to King Asa, and he sent the commanders of his armies against the cities of Israel, and they conquered Ijon, Dan, Abel maim, and all the storage cities of Naphtali.

and he took six hundred select chariots, and all the other chariots of Egypt with officers over all of them.

The sons of Israel cried out to the Lord; for he had nine hundred iron chariots, and he oppressed the sons of Israel severely for twenty years.

Now it came about after this, that Ben hadad the king of Aram gathered all his army, and went up and besieged Samaria.So there was a severe famine in Samaria; and behold, they kept besieging it until a donkey’s head was sold for eighty shekels of silver, and a fourth of a kab of dove’s dung for five shekels of silver.And as the king of Israel was passing by on the wall, a woman cried out to him, saying,“ Help, my lord the king!”But he said,“ If the Lord does not help you, from where am I to help you? From the threshing floor, or from the wine press?”Then the king said to her,“ What is on your mind?” And she said,“ This woman said to me,‘ Give your son so that we may eat him today, and we will eat my son tomorrow.’So we cooked my son and ate him; and I said to her on the next day,‘ Give your son, so that we may eat him’; but she has hidden her son.”

So I will send fire upon the house of Hazael, And it will consume the citadels of Ben hadad.

Through your servants you have taunted the Lord, And you have said,‘ With my many chariots I came up to the heights of the mountains, To the remotest parts of Lebanon; And I cut down its tall cedars and its choice junipers. And I will come to its highest peak, its thickest forest.

Carry out this plan: remove the kings, each from his place, and put governors in their place,

For it says,“ Are not my officers all kings?

They went out at noon, while Ben hadad was drinking himself drunk in the temporary shelters with the thirty two kings who were helping him.

You, O king, are the king of kings, to whom the God of heaven has given the kingdom, the power, the strength, and the honor;

And it came about in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goiim,that they made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela( that is, Zoar).All these kings came as allies to the Valley of Siddim( that is, the Salt Sea).For twelve years they had served Chedorlaomer, but in the thirteenth year they rebelled.And in the fourteenth year Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him came and defeated the Rephaim in Ashteroth karnaim, and the Zuzim in Ham, and the Emim in Shaveh kiriathaim,
