Then King Solomon summoned into his presence at Jerusalem the elders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes and the chiefs of the Israelite families, to bring up the ark of the Lord’s covenant from Zion, the City of David.

Then King Solomon sent for the elders of Israel. He told them to come to him in Jerusalem. They included all the leaders of the tribes. They also included the chiefs of the families of Israel. Solomon wanted them to bring up the ark of the Lord’ s covenant from Zion. Zion was the City of David.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers’ houses of the people of Israel, before King Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, which is Zion.

Solomon then summoned to Jerusalem the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes— the leaders of the ancestral families of the Israelites. They were to bring the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant to the Temple from its location in the City of David, also known as Zion.

At that time Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, all the tribal heads and the ancestral leaders of the Israelites before him at Jerusalem in order to bring the ark of the LORD’s covenant from the city of David, that is Zion.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, with all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers’ households of the children of Israel, to king Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of Yahweh’s covenant out of David’s city, which is Zion.

那时，所罗门将以色列的长老、各支派的首领，并以色列的族长招聚到耶路撒冷，要把耶和华的约柜从大卫城就是锡安运上来。于是以色列众人在七月节前都聚集到王那里。以色列众长老来到，利未人便抬起约柜。祭司利未人将约柜运上来，又将会幕和会幕的一切圣器具都带上来。所罗门王和聚集到他那里的以色列全会众都在约柜前献牛羊为祭，多得不可胜数。祭司将耶和华的约柜抬进内殿，就是至圣所，放在两个基路伯的翅膀底下。基路伯张着翅膀在约柜之上，遮掩约柜和抬柜的杠。这杠甚长，杠头在内殿前可以看见，在殿外却不能看见，直到如今还在那里。约柜里惟有两块石版，就是以色列人出埃及后，耶和华与他们立约的时候，摩西在何烈山所放的。除此以外，并无别物。

于是，大卫和以色列的长老，并千夫长都去从俄别以东的家欢欢喜喜地将耶和华的约柜抬上来。

有人告诉大卫王说：“耶和华因为约柜赐福给俄别以东的家和一切属他的。”大卫就去，欢欢喜喜地将神的约柜从俄别以东家中抬到大卫的城里。抬耶和华约柜的人走了六步，大卫就献牛与肥羊为祭。大卫穿着细麻布的以弗得，在耶和华面前极力跳舞。这样，大卫和以色列的全家欢呼吹角，将耶和华的约柜抬上来。耶和华的约柜进了大卫城的时候，扫罗的女儿米甲从窗户里观看，见大卫王在耶和华面前踊跃跳舞，心里就轻视他。众人将耶和华的约柜请进去，安放在所预备的地方，就是在大卫所搭的帐幕里。大卫在耶和华面前献燔祭和平安祭。

所罗门醒了，不料是个梦。他就回到耶路撒冷，站在耶和华的约柜前，献燔祭和平安祭，又为他众臣仆设摆筵席。

希西家差遣人去见以色列和犹大众人，又写信给以法莲和玛拿西人，叫他们到耶路撒冷耶和华的殿，向耶和华以色列的神守逾越节；

所以，主耶和华如此说：“看哪，我在锡安放一块石头作为根基，是试验过的石头，是稳固根基，宝贵的房角石；信靠的人必不着急。

我使我的公义临近，必不远离。我的救恩必不迟延；我要为以色列我的荣耀，在锡安施行救恩。”

大卫住在保障里，所以那保障叫作大卫城。

就把以色列众人的长老、族长、审判官，并官长都召了来，对他们说：“我年纪已经老迈。

大卫招聚以色列众人到耶路撒冷，要将耶和华的约柜抬到他所预备的地方。

使人在锡安传扬耶和华的名，在耶路撒冷传扬赞美他的话，

约书亚将以色列的众支派聚集在示剑，召了以色列的长老、族长、审判官，并官长来，他们就站在神面前。

到了七月，以色列人住在各城；那时他们如同一人，聚集在耶路撒冷。

应当歌颂居锡安的耶和华，将他所行的传扬在众民中。

然而大卫攻取锡安的保障，就是大卫的城。当日，大卫说：“谁攻打耶布斯人，当上水沟攻打我心里所恨恶的瘸子、瞎子。”从此有俗语说：“在那里有瞎子、瘸子，他不能进屋去。”大卫住在保障里，给保障起名叫大卫城。大卫又从米罗以里，周围筑墙。

大卫与千夫长、百夫长，就是一切首领商议。大卫对以色列全会众说：“你们若以为美，见这事是出于耶和华我们的神，我们就差遣人走遍以色列地，见我们未来的弟兄，又见住在有郊野之城的祭司利未人，使他们都到这里来聚集。我们要把神的约柜运到我们这里来；因为在扫罗年间，我们没有在约柜前求问神。”全会众都说可以如此行；这事在众民眼中都看为好。于是，大卫将以色列人从埃及的西曷河直到哈马口都招聚了来，要从基列耶琳将神的约柜运来。

当天，以色列的众首领，就是各族的族长，都来奉献。他们是各支派的首领，管理那些被数的人。他们把自己的供物送到耶和华面前，就是六辆篷子车和十二只公牛。每两个首领奉献一辆车，每首领奉献一只牛。他们把这些都奉到帐幕前。

大卫又聚集以色列中所有挑选的人三万。大卫起身，率领跟随他的众人前往，要从巴拉犹大将神的约柜运来；这约柜就是坐在二基路伯上万军之耶和华留名的约柜。

耶和华的约柜进了大卫城的时候，扫罗的女儿米甲从窗户里观看，见大卫王踊跃跳舞，心里就轻视他。众人将神的约柜请进去，安放在大卫所搭的帐幕里，就在神面前献燔祭和平安祭。

因为经上说：“看哪，我把所拣选、所宝贵的房角石安放在锡安；信靠他的人必不至于羞愧。”

大卫招聚以色列各支派的首领和轮班服侍王的军长，与千夫长、百夫长，掌管王和王子产业牲畜的，并太监，以及大能的勇士，都到耶路撒冷来。

到了拿艮的禾场，因为牛失前蹄，乌撒就伸手扶住神的约柜。
