要為信仰打那美好的仗，要抓住永恆的生命。你正是為此蒙召的，並且在許多見證人面前做了美好的告白。

亞伯拉罕認為，神真的能使人從死人中復活。故此，用比喻來說，他真的從死人中得回了以撒。

當他們沿路前行的時候，來到一個有水的地方。太監說：「看哪，有水！有什麼能阻止我受洗呢？」

所以各位蒙愛的人哪，我們既然擁有這些應許，就讓我們潔淨自己，除去肉體和靈魂的一切汙穢，懷著敬畏神的心來達成聖潔。

我們所誇耀的是這一點：我們的良心見證了我們在世上行事為人帶著屬神的忠實和真誠，不是靠屬肉體的智慧，而是靠神的恩典；對你們更是如此。
