掃羅懼怕大衛，因為耶和華與大衛同在，卻離開了掃羅。

惡人謀害義人，向他咬牙切齒；但主必笑他，因為知道他遭報的日子快要來到。惡人已經拔出刀來，拉開了弓，要打倒困苦和貧窮的人，殺害行為正直的人。

掃羅看見大衛所行的十分亨通，就怕他。

從那天起，他們就想殺害耶穌。

不要像該隱，他是屬於那惡者的，他又殺了自己的弟弟。為甚麼殺他呢？因為他自己的行為是惡的，弟弟的行為是義的。弟兄們，世人若恨你們，不要希奇。我們因為愛弟兄，就知道我們已經出死入生了；不愛弟兄的，仍然住在死中。凡恨弟兄的，就是殺人的。你們知道，殺人的在他裡面沒有永生。

你信神只有一位，你信的不錯；就連鬼魔也信，卻是戰兢。
