David said to his men,“ Each of you strap on your sword!” So they did, and David strapped his on as well. About four hundred men went up with David, while two hundred stayed with the supplies.

David said to his men,“ Each of you put on your swords!” So they did. David put his sword on too. About 400 men went up with David. Two hundred men stayed behind with the supplies.

And David said to his men,“ Every man strap on his sword!” And every man of them strapped on his sword. David also strapped on his sword. And about four hundred men went up after David, while two hundred remained with the baggage.

“ Get your swords!” was David’s reply as he strapped on his own. Then 400 men started off with David, and 200 remained behind to guard their equipment.

He said to his men,“ All of you, put on your swords!” So each man put on his sword, and David also put on his sword. About four hundred men followed David while two hundred stayed with the supplies.

于是，大卫率领自己的六百部下离开基伊拉，到处流浪。扫罗得知大卫已经离开基伊拉，就不去了。

热诚却无知不足取，行动急躁难免有错。

智者不轻易发怒，饶恕是他的荣耀。

以色列人接受了他们的食物，却没有求问耶和华。

事后，大卫心里不安，他对部下说：“我不该做这样的事，我主是耶和华所膏立的王，我绝不出手伤害他，因为他是耶和华所膏立的。”

不轻易发怒者胜过勇士，能自我控制胜过攻陷城池。

亲爱的弟兄姊妹，不要私自报复，要让上帝来审判，因为圣经上说：“主说，‘申冤在我，我必报应。’”所以，“你的仇敌若饿了，就给他吃的；若渴了，就给他喝的；你这样做是把炭火堆在他头上。”你不可被恶所胜，反要以善胜恶。

不轻易发怒者深明事理，鲁莽急躁的人显出愚昧。

不可鲁莽地打官司，以免败诉、羞愧难当。

我亲爱的弟兄姊妹，请记住：每个人都要快快地听，慢慢地说，慢慢地动怒。因为人的愤怒不能成就上帝的公义。

大卫回到留在比梭溪的那二百名因为太疲乏而没有同去的人那里，他们出来迎接大卫和众随从，大卫也上前问候他们。大卫随从中那些不良分子说：“他们没有跟我们一起去打仗，我们抢回来的东西不应分给他们，只让他们带走自己的妻子和儿女就好了。”大卫说：“弟兄们，这一切是耶和华赐给我们的，我们不可不分给他们，因为是耶和华保护我们，把敌人交在了我们手里。谁能接受你们的说法呢？上阵打仗的和看守装备的应该得到一样的待遇。”

于是，大卫率领六百名部下前去追赶，到了比梭溪，有二百人因为太累而不能过溪，就留在那里。大卫率领其余的四百人继续追赶。
