David replied,“ No, my brothers, you must not do that with what the Lord has given us. He has protected us and delivered into our hands the raiding party that came against us.

But David said,“ You shall not do so, my brothers, with what the Lord has given us. He has preserved us and given into our hand the band that came against us.

But David said,“ No, my brothers! Don’t be selfish with what the Lord has given us. He has kept us safe and helped us defeat the band of raiders that attacked us.

But David said,“ My brothers, you must not do this with what the LORD has given us. He protected us and handed over to us the raiders who came against us.

你要記念耶和華你的神，因為得財富的能力是他賜給你的，為要堅定他向你的列祖起誓所立的約，像今天一樣。

說：“我的弟兄們，請不要作惡。

那房主出來見他們，對他們說：“我的眾兄弟啊，不可這樣，請你們不要作惡；這人既然進了我的家，你們就不要作這羞恥的事。

“各位父老弟兄，請聽聽我現在對你們的申辯。”

你曾親手把列國趕出去，卻栽培了我們的列祖；你曾苦待眾民，卻使我們的列祖昌盛。因為他們取得那地，不是靠自己的刀劍；他們得勝，也不是靠自己的膀臂；而是靠你的右手、你的膀臂和你臉上的光，因為你喜悅他們。神啊！你是我的王；求你出令，使雅各得勝。我們靠著你，必打倒我們的敵人；靠著你的名，必踐踏那些起來攻擊我們的。因為我不是倚靠我的弓，我的刀劍也不能使我得勝。但你使我們勝過了我們的敵人，使憎恨我們的人都羞愧。

耶和華要保護你脫離一切災禍，他要保護你的性命。你出你入，耶和華要保護你，從現在直到永遠。

司提反說：“各位父老兄弟請聽！我們的祖宗亞伯拉罕，在美索不達米亞，還沒有住在哈蘭的時候，榮耀的神向他顯現，

你吃飽了，就要稱頌耶和華你的神，因為他把那美地賜了給你。

對摩西說：“你僕人手下作戰的士兵，已經計算總數，沒有缺少一人。現在我們把耶和華的供物，都送來了，就是我們各人所得的金器、腳鍊子、鐲子、打印戒指、耳環、手釧，好在耶和華面前，為我們自己贖罪。”摩西和以利亞撒祭司就收了他們的金子，就是各樣金子做成的器皿。千夫長和百夫長獻給耶和華為舉祭的一切金子，共有兩百多公斤。士兵都各自奪取了財物。摩西和以利亞撒祭司就從千夫長和百夫長手中收了金子，把它帶進會幕裡去，在耶和華面前作以色列人的記念。

耶和華使人貧窮，也使人富足；使人降卑，也使人升高。

向自己的網獻祭，對魚網燒香，因他們藉此收穫豐富，飲食充裕。

大衛求問耶和華說：“我可以追趕這群匪徒嗎？我可以追上他們嗎？”耶和華回答他：“你可以追趕，你必定追上，也必定把一切救回來。”

富足和尊榮都從你而來，你也統治萬有。在你的手裡有力量和權能；人的尊大、強盛都是出於你的手。我們的神啊，現在我們要稱頌你，讚美你榮耀的名。我算甚麼？我的人民又算甚麼？竟有力量這樣樂意奉獻？因為萬物都是從你而來，我們只是把從你手裡得來的，奉獻給你。
