All who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, were to be put to death, whether small or great, man or woman.

All those who wouldn’t obey the Lord, the God of Israel, would be killed. It wouldn’t matter how important they were. It wouldn’t matter whether they were men or women.

but that whoever would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, should be put to death, whether young or old, man or woman.

They agreed that anyone who refused to seek the Lord, the God of Israel, would be put to death— whether young or old, man or woman.

Whoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel would be put to death, young or old, man or woman.

「祭祀別神，不單單祭祀耶和華的，那人必要滅絕。

凡敬畏耶和華的，無論大小，主必賜福給他。

以利亞對他們說：「拿住巴力的先知，不容一人逃脫！」眾人就拿住他們。以利亞帶他們到基順河邊，在那裏殺了他們。

那先知或是那做夢的既用言語叛逆那領你們出埃及地、救贖你脫離為奴之家的耶和華－你們的神，要勾引你離開耶和華－你神所吩咐你行的道，你便要將他治死。這樣，就把那惡從你們中間除掉。「你的同胞弟兄，或是你的兒女，或是你懷中的妻，或是如同你性命的朋友，若暗中引誘你，說：『我們不如去事奉你和你列祖素來所不認識的別神－是你四圍列國的神。』無論是離你近，離你遠，從地這邊到地那邊的神，你不可依從他，也不可聽從他，眼不可顧惜他。你不可憐恤他，也不可遮庇他，總要殺他；你先下手，然後眾民也下手，將他治死。要用石頭打死他，因為他想要勾引你離開那領你出埃及地為奴之家的耶和華－你的神。以色列眾人都要聽見害怕，就不敢在你們中間再行這樣的惡了。「在耶和華－你神所賜你居住的各城中，你若聽人說，有些匪類從你們中間的一座城出來勾引本城的居民，說：『我們不如去事奉你們素來所不認識的別神』；

惟恐你們中間，或男或女，或族長或支派長，今日心裏偏離耶和華－我們的神，去事奉那些國的神；又怕你們中間有惡根生出苦菜和茵蔯來，

「在你們中間，在耶和華－你神所賜你的諸城中，無論哪座城裏，若有人，或男或女，行耶和華－你神眼中看為惡的事，違背了他的約，去事奉敬拜別神，或拜日頭，或拜月亮，或拜天象，是主不曾吩咐的；有人告訴你，你也聽見了，就要細細地探聽，果然是真，準有這可憎惡的事行在以色列中，你就要將行這惡事的男人或女人拉到城門外，用石頭將他打死。

然而我蒙神的幫助，直到今日還站得住，對着尊貴、卑賤、老幼作見證；所講的並不外乎眾先知和摩西所說將來必成的事，

我又看見死了的人，無論大小，都站在寶座前。案卷展開了，並且另有一卷展開，就是生命冊。死了的人都憑着這些案卷所記載的，照他們所行的受審判。

他待王子不徇情面，也不看重富足的過於貧窮的，因為都是他手所造。

到了半夜，耶和華把埃及地所有的長子，就是從坐寶座的法老，直到被擄囚在監裏之人的長子，以及一切頭生的牲畜，盡都殺了。

大小都在那裏；奴僕脫離主人的轄制。

並且使門外的人，無論老少，眼都昏迷；他們摸來摸去，總尋不着房門。

地上的君王、臣宰、將軍、富戶、壯士，和一切為奴的、自主的，都藏在山洞和巖石穴裏，
