Amaziah, however, would not listen, for God so worked that he might deliver them into the hands of Jehoash, because they sought the gods of Edom.

兩不相合、乃散、將散時、保羅以一言語之曰、善哉、聖神託先知以賽亞告爾列祖云、往告此民曰、爾將聽而不聰、視而不明、蓋斯民心頑、耳聵、自閉其目、恐目視、耳聽、心悟、轉移而我醫之、

彼之來、乃依撒但之工作、以諸能諸兆諸偽蹟、又以非義之諸詭譎、加於淪亡者、因其不納真理之愛、致得救焉、故上帝施以乖謬、致信誑言、

且為躓石、為礙磐、以其背道而蹶焉、此亦預定者也、
