爾等明明為基督之書札、而吾儕供書記之役焉。此書也、非以楮墨寫成、乃以永生天主之聖神；非鐫於碑石、而鐫於人心者也。

上帝於西乃山、既與摩西言、手書律法於二石碑、以賜之。

予也中心如渴、慕永生之上帝兮、不識何時、得造其前兮、

以我箴言、繫之於手、銘之於心、

惟耶和華真上帝、永生為王、彼赫斯怒、則大地震動、彼發厥憤、則億兆不安。

欲使爾知永生上帝左右爾、必於爾前驅逐迦南人、赫人、希未人、比哩洗人、革迦撒人、亞摩哩人、耶布士人。

以清水灑爾、使爾為潔、凡拜偶像行淫穢之事、均滌除焉。以新心賜爾、去其頑梗之性、賜以易化之心、以我神賦爾、使爾遵我禮儀、守我法度、

天地間、稱上帝雖不一、蓋在人觀之、有多上帝多主、自我觀之、獨一父上帝、萬物本之、我眾歸之、獨一主耶穌基督、萬物賴之、我儕亦賴之、眾人未知此、至今數人、謂有主偶像者、遂食厥祭物、是其知未至、故若浼焉、曰、我以食物、不能悅上帝、食者無益、不食者無損、曰、勿以一己之所得自由、令知未至者躓焉、彼知未至、見爾有知、席坐偶像之廟、不亦敢食祭偶像之物乎、

聖神示諸會之言、宜傾耳以聽、

猶大人之罪、錄以鐵筆、其鋒堅剛無匹、銘於心中、書於壇角。

或立於傍、大闢問之曰、能殺此非利士人、洒恥於以色列族者、將何所得。非利士人未受割禮、安敢侮永生上帝之軍乎。
