And we are sending along with him the brother who is praised by all the churches for his work in spreading the gospel.

We have sent together with him the brother whose praise in the Good News is known throughout all the assemblies.

我曾慫恿提多至爾處、並遣發一兄弟與之偕、提多曾佔爾便宜乎？吾儕豈非表裏如一、心跡雙清者乎。

亦各守分安己、遵循天主之聖召而已。此予所囑付諸教會者也。

吾儕尚遣一兄弟與彼二人偕行、此君為吾儕所深識、在過去任事甚見熱心、此次更為熱心；以對爾等滿懷厚望也。若言提多、則為吾友、亦為爾等之故、向與吾同勞者也。至於兩位兄弟、則奉諸聖會之使命、亦基督之榮光也。

此君且原為諸會所推選、使與吾儕同行、協力勸募、以歸榮於主、而表吾人區區之心。

曩者吾曾至特羅亞傳基督福音。托主之力、門戶洞開；

二位皆仰體基督耶穌與我同勞、曾冒萬死以救吾命、不惟吾個人感荷其恩、即異邦諸教會亦有同感。
