“ Mountains of Gilboa, may you have neither dew nor rain, may no showers fall on your terraced fields. For there the shield of the mighty was despised, the shield of Saul— no longer rubbed with oil.

“ Mountains of Gilboa, may no dew or rain fall on you. May no showers fall on your hillside fields. The shield of the mighty king wasn’t respected there. The shield of Saul lies there. It isn’t rubbed with oil anymore.

“ You mountains of Gilboa, let there be no dew or rain upon you, nor fields of offerings! For there the shield of the mighty was defiled, the shield of Saul, not anointed with oil.

O mountains of Gilboa, let there be no dew or rain upon you, nor fruitful fields producing offerings of grain. For there the shield of the mighty heroes was defiled; the shield of Saul will no longer be anointed with oil.

非利士人與以色列人交戰。以色列人從非利士人面前逃跑，有很多人在基利波山上倒斃。

他們擺設筵席，鋪張地氈，又吃又喝。領袖們，起來吧！用油抹淨盾牌。

撒母耳拿了一瓶膏油，倒在掃羅的頭上，又與他親吻，說：“耶和華不是已經膏立你作他產業的領袖嗎？

我要使它荒廢，不再修剪，也不再耕耘，荊棘和蒺藜卻要長起來；我也要吩咐雲不再降雨在園子上。

有誰知道或許他會轉意，並且施慈愛，留下餘福，就是留下獻給耶和華你們的神的素祭和奠祭。

素祭和奠祭都從耶和華的殿裡斷絕了，事奉耶和華的祭司也都悲哀。

非利士人攻打以色列人；以色列人從非利士人面前逃跑，在基利波山上陣亡的人很多。

第二天，非利士人來剝那些被殺的人的衣物的時候，發現掃羅和他的兒子都倒斃在基利波山上。

“願我生的那日泯滅，人說懷男胎的那夜滅沒。願那日變成黑暗，願神不從上面眷顧，願光明不照耀在其上。願黑暗與死蔭索討那日，願密雲停留在上面，願白天的昏黑驚嚇它。願那夜被幽暗奪去，不讓它連在平日之中，列入月數之內。願那夜沒有生育，也沒有歡樂的聲音。那些咒詛日子、善於惹動海怪的，願他們咒詛那夜。願那夜黎明的星星變成黑暗，願那夜等候發光卻不亮，見不到清晨的曙光。因為那夜沒有把我母胎的門關閉，也沒有把苦難隱藏，使我看不見。

耶和華的使者說：‘你們要咒詛米羅斯，大大咒詛其中的居民；因為他們不來幫助耶和華，不帶領勇士幫助耶和華。’

願我生的那一天受咒詛！願我母親生我的那一天不蒙祝福！那向我父親報喜信：“你得了一個男孩”，叫我父親十分高興的，願那人受咒詛！願那人像耶和華所傾覆而不顧惜的城市，願他早晨聽見哀號，午間聽見戰爭的吶喊。

“‘主耶和華這樣說：它下陰間的日子，我就因它以悲哀遮蓋深淵，阻塞深淵的江河，使大水停流；我要使黎巴嫩為它悲傷、田野所有的樹木都因它枯乾。
