七日、日未入時、邑人告之曰、孰甜於蜜、孰強於獅。參孫曰、如不用我犢而耕、則我之隱語曷由知乎。

敵將雲集、車若颶風、馬奔迅過於鷹隼、億兆自謂我遇災害、禍將及矣。

耶和華必使遠民、如鷹之飛、來自地極。攻擊爾曹、其方言爾不之識、

非利士人攻以色列族。以色列族遁在吉破山、見殺者眾。非利士人追襲掃羅、殺其三子、約拿單、亞庇拿撻、麥基舒亞。掃羅戰敗、矢人射之、身負重傷、謂持兵之士曰、汝其拔刃刺我、恐未受割者刺我、加以狎侮。持兵之士懼甚、不敢奉命、掃羅觸刃而死。持兵之士見掃羅已死、亦觸刃偕亡。

追予之人、捷於飛鷹、襲予於山巔、設伏於曠野兮。

西魯雅有三子、名約押、亞庇篩、亞撒黑。亞撒黑足疾如麀。

日去如扁舟、勢若巨鷹之摶擊。

獅為百獸王、無所畏避、

伽得人歸大闢、在曠野險要之地、皆英武之士、能臨陣、執干戈、貌勇如獅、足疾若鹿、

甲泄地有巨富者、耶何耶大、其子庇拿雅勇毅非常、殺摩押之豪傑二人、又當飛雪之時、下阱殺獅、

曰、爾斷勿死、我父所為、無論鉅細、必以告我、豈為此隱於我乎。必無是事。

大闢言竟、掃羅留之、不遣之歸、約拿單之心與大闢之心深相契合、愛之如命、遂與結約。
