Then David said to Nathan,“ I have sinned against the Lord.” Nathan replied,“ The Lord has taken away your sin. You are not going to die.

Then David confessed to Nathan,“ I have sinned against the Lord.” Nathan replied,“ Yes, but the Lord has forgiven you, and you won’t die for this sin.

David responded to Nathan,“ I have sinned against the LORD.” Then Nathan replied to David,“ And the LORD has taken away your sin; you will not die.

Then David said to Nathan,“ I have sinned against the Lord.” And Nathan said to David,“ The Lord also has allowed your sin to pass; you shall not die.

So David said to Nathan,“ I have sinned against the Lord.” And Nathan said to David,“ The Lord also has put away your sin; you shall not die.

And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against Jehovah. And Nathan said unto David, Jehovah also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die.

David responded to Nathan,“ I have sinned against the Lord.” Then Nathan replied to David,“ The Lord has taken away your sin; you will not die.

And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die.

Then David exclaimed to Nathan,“ I have sinned against the LORD!” Nathan replied to David,“ Yes, and the LORD has forgiven your sin. You are not going to die.

David said to Nathan,“ I have sinned against Yahweh.” Nathan said to David,“ Yahweh also has put away your sin. You will not die.

But David’s heart struck him after he had numbered the people. And David said to the Lord,“ I have sinned greatly in what I have done. But now, O Lord, please take away the iniquity of your servant, for I have done very foolishly.”

“ If a man commits adultery with the wife of his neighbor, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.

And the angel said to those who were standing before him,“ Remove the filthy garments from him.” And to him he said,“ Behold, I have taken your iniquity away from you, and I will clothe you with pure vestments.”

And the son said to him,‘ Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in steadfast love.He will again have compassion on us; he will tread our iniquities under foot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.

Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. Then he said,“ I have sinned; yet honor me now before the elders of my people and before Israel, and return with me, that I may bow before the Lord your God.”

Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment.

Let it be known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,and by him everyone who believes is freed from everything from which you could not be freed by the law of Moses.

Like a gold ring or an ornament of gold is a wise reprover to a listening ear.

Moreover, you shall accept no ransom for the life of a murderer, who is guilty of death, but he shall be put to death.And you shall accept no ransom for him who has fled to his city of refuge, that he may return to dwell in the land before the death of the high priest.You shall not pollute the land in which you live, for blood pollutes the land, and no atonement can be made for the land for the blood that is shed in it, except by the blood of the one who shed it.

for then he would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world. But as it is, he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

But as he was speaking, the king said to him,“ Have we made you a royal counselor? Stop! Why should you be struck down?” So the prophet stopped, but said,“ I know that God has determined to destroy you, because you have done this and have not listened to my counsel.”

Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died— more than that, who was raised— who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.

For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it; you will not be pleased with a burnt offering.

Then Asa was angry with the seer and put him in the stocks in prison, for he was in a rage with him because of this. And Asa inflicted cruelties upon some of the people at the same time.

And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat,“ There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of the Lord, Micaiah the son of Imlah, but I hate him, for he never prophesies good concerning me, but evil.” And Jehoshaphat said,“ Let not the king say so.”

Ahab said to Elijah,“ Have you found me, O my enemy?” He answered,“ I have found you, because you have sold yourself to do what is evil in the sight of the Lord.

Saul said to Samuel,“ I have sinned, for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord and your words, because I feared the people and obeyed their voice.Now therefore, please pardon my sin and return with me that I may bow before the Lord.”

He sings before men and says:‘ I sinned and perverted what was right, and it was not repaid to me.

He sent and had John beheaded in the prison,

If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?But with you there is forgiveness, that you may be feared.

but, though he cause grief, he will have compassion according to the abundance of his steadfast love;

For Herod had seized John and bound him and put him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife,because John had been saying to him,“ It is not lawful for you to have her.”And though he wanted to put him to death, he feared the people, because they held him to be a prophet.

Then the king sent to him a captain of fifty men with his fifty. He went up to Elijah, who was sitting on the top of a hill, and said to him,“ O man of God, the king says,‘ Come down.’”
