Why did you despise the word of the Lord by doing what is evil in his eyes? You struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and took his wife to be your own. You killed him with the sword of the Ammonites.

Why did you turn your back on what I told you to do? You did what is evil in my sight. You made sure that Uriah, the Hittite, would be killed in battle. You took his wife to be your own. You let the men of Ammon kill him with their swords.

Why have you despised the word of the Lord, to do what is evil in his sight? You have struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and have taken his wife to be your wife and have killed him with the sword of the Ammonites.

Why, then, have you despised the word of the Lord and done this horrible deed? For you have murdered Uriah the Hittite with the sword of the Ammonites and stolen his wife.

Why then have you despised the LORD’s command by doing what I consider evil? You struck down Uriah the Hethite with the sword and took his wife as your own wife— you murdered him with the Ammonite’s sword.

任何拒絕摩西律法的人，憑兩個或三個見證人的見證，就得不到憐憫而死，何況一個人踐踏了神的兒子，把那使自己成聖的立約之血看做是俗物，又侮辱了恩典的聖靈，你們想想，這個人難道不該受更厲害的懲罰嗎？

要知道，悖逆如同占卜的罪，頑梗就像拜偶像的惡。你既然厭棄耶和華的話，耶和華也厭棄你作王。」

大衛派人把她帶來。她進到大衛那裡，大衛就與她同睡——那時她正在從月事的汙穢中得潔淨——之後她回家去了。

現在，刀劍必永不離開你的家，因為你藐視了我，娶了赫提人烏利亞的妻子作你的妻子。』

到了早晨，大衛寫了一封書信給約押，讓烏利亞帶去。他在書信裡寫著說：「你要把烏利亞派到戰事激烈的前線，然後你們退到他後面，讓他被擊殺而死。」那時約押正在圍攻敵城，他就把烏利亞安排到他所知道敵兵最強的地方。城裡的人出來與約押交戰，軍隊中大衛的一些臣僕倒下了，赫提人烏利亞也死了。於是約押派人去把戰事的所有信息報告大衛。他吩咐使者說：「你把戰事的所有信息對王說完以後，如果王發火，對你說：『你們為什麼靠近城牆攻打呢？難道不知道他們會從城牆上射箭嗎？誰擊殺了耶路·比設的兒子亞比米勒呢？難道不是一個女人從城牆上把一塊磨石扔在他身上，他就死在了提備斯嗎？你們為什麼靠近城牆呢？』你就說：『你的臣僕赫提人烏利亞也死了。』」那使者就去了。使者到達後，把約押派他來說的一切都報告給大衛。使者對大衛說：「敵人實在強過我們，出來在郊外攻打我們，但我們反擊他們直到城門口。那時射手從城牆上射你的臣僕們，王的臣僕中有一些陣亡了，你的臣僕赫提人烏利亞也死了。」大衛就對使者說：「你要對約押如此說：『不要為這件事難過，因為刀劍有時吞噬這個，有時吞噬那個。你只要竭力攻擊那城，把它摧毀！』你要這樣鼓勵約押。」烏利亞的妻子聽說丈夫烏利亞死了，就為丈夫哀哭。哀悼的日子過了，大衛派人去把她接到宮裡，她就作了大衛的妻子，為他生了一個兒子。大衛所做的這事，在耶和華眼中看為惡。

至於你們的生命之血，我必為你們追討：我要向野獸追討，我也要向人，甚至向各人的兄弟追討人命。那殺人流血的，他必被殺流血，因為神是按照自己的形像造人的。

我對你，唯獨對你犯了罪，我做了你眼中看為惡的事；因此你說話的時候就顯為公義，你審判的時候就顯為清正。

因此，火舌怎樣吞噬麥稭，乾草怎樣倒在火焰中，照樣，他們的根也必像腐朽之物，他們的花必像塵土飛散；因為他們厭棄萬軍之耶和華的訓誨，藐視以色列聖者的言語。

耶和華啊，你已經洞察我，認識我！我坐下、我起來，你都知道；你從遠方就知道我的意念。

你把我們的罪孽擺在你面前，把我們隱藏的事擺在你的容光之中。
