爾僕約押為此、欲使事勢變遷、我主聰睿、如上帝之使、洞悉世事、○

此事實緣於爾臣約押、我主我王自具智慧、如上帝之使、天下事無不洞悉。

王之僕約押如是行、欲藉此以諫勸、我主之智慧、如天主使者之智慧、能知天下諸事、

Your servant Joab did this to change the present situation. My lord has wisdom like that of an angel of God— he knows everything that happens in the land.”

He did it to change the way things now are. You are as wise as an angel of God. You know everything that happens in the land.”

In order to change the course of things your servant Joab did this. But my lord has wisdom like the wisdom of the angel of God to know all things that are on the earth.”

He did it to place the matter before you in a different light. But you are as wise as an angel of God, and you understand everything that happens among us!”

婢女又想：‘我主我王的话必能使我得安慰，因为我主我王像神的使者一样，能分辨是非。愿耶和华你的神与你同在。’”

虚谎的舌头憎恶被它伤害的人；谄媚的口造成败坏。

你曾到过海的泉源，在深渊的底处行走过吗？死亡的门曾向你显露吗？死荫的门你曾见过吗？地的广阔，你明白吗？你若完全知道，就只管说吧。哪条是到光明居所的道路？黑暗的本位在哪里？你能把光与暗带到它们的境地吗？你晓得通到它们居所的路吗？你是知道的，因为那时你已经出生了，你一生的日数也很多。你曾入过雪库，或见过雹仓吗？这些雪雹是我为降患难的时候，为打仗和争战的日子所存留的。光从哪条路散开，东风从哪里分散在地上？谁为大雨分水道，谁为雷电定道路？使雨降在无人之地，落在无人居住的旷野，使荒废之地得着滋润，使青草在干旱之地得以长起来呢？雨有父亲吗？露珠是谁生的呢？冰出自谁的胎？天上的霜是谁所生的呢？众水坚硬如石头，深渊的表面冻结成冰。你能系住昴星的结吗？你能解开参星的带吗？你能按时领出玛查鲁夫星系吗？你能引导北斗和随从它的众星吗？你晓得天的定例吗？你能在地上建立天的权威吗？你能向密云扬声吗？你能使洪水淹没你吗？你能差派闪电，闪电就发出，并且对你说：‘我们在这里’吗？谁把智慧放在怀里，或把聪明赐于人的心中？尘土融合成团，土块黏结在一起的时候，谁能凭智慧数算云天呢？谁能把天上的水袋倾倒呢？狮子在洞中蹲伏，在藏身之处躺卧埋伏的时候，你能为母狮猎取食物吗？你能使食欲饱足吗？乌鸦雏鸟因缺乏食物飞来飞去，向神哀求的时候，谁为乌鸦预备食物呢？”

大卫又求问耶和华，耶和华说：“你不要直接上去，要绕到他们后面，从桑林对面攻打他们。

谄媚邻舍的人，是在他的脚下张设网罗。

因为神知道你们吃那果子的时候，你们的眼睛就开了；你们会像神一样，能知道善恶。”

我必不徇人的情面，也不奉承人，因为我不晓得怎样奉承。不然，我的创造主很快就把我除去。”

关于祭过偶像的食物，我们晓得我们都有知识。但知识会使人自高自大，唯有爱心能造就人。如果有人自以为知道些什么，那么，他应该知道的，他还是不知道。
