大卫蒙着头，赤着脚登上橄榄山，边走边哭，他的随从也蒙着头，哭着走上山。

But David continued up the Mount of Olives, weeping as he went; his head was covered and he was barefoot. All the people with him covered their heads too and were weeping as they went up.

But David went on up the Mount of Olives. He was weeping as he went. His head was covered, and he was barefoot. All the people with him covered their heads too. And they were weeping as they went up.

But David went up the ascent of the Mount of Olives, weeping as he went, barefoot and with his head covered. And all the people who were with him covered their heads, and they went up, weeping as they went.

David walked up the road to the Mount of Olives, weeping as he went. His head was covered and his feet were bare as a sign of mourning. And the people who were with him covered their heads and wept as they climbed the hill.

David was climbing the slope of the Mount of Olives, weeping as he ascended. His head was covered, and he was walking barefoot. All of the people with him covered their heads and went up, weeping as they ascended.

And David was going up the ascent of the Mount of Olives, weeping as he went, and his head was covered, and he was walking barefoot. Then all the people who were with him each covered his own head, and they were going up, weeping as they went.

So David went up by the Ascent of the Mount of Olives, and wept as he went up; and he had his head covered and went barefoot. And all the people who were with him covered their heads and went up, weeping as they went up.

之后，末底改回到宫门那里，哈曼却悲伤地蒙着头匆匆回家去了。

王仍掩面痛哭：“我儿押沙龙啊！押沙龙！我儿！我儿啊！”

耶和华吩咐亚摩斯的儿子以赛亚脱去身上的麻衣和脚上的鞋。以赛亚便遵命裸身赤足而行。耶和华说：“我仆人以赛亚已经裸身赤足行走三年，作为惩罚埃及和古实的标记和预兆。亚述王必把埃及和古实的老老少少裸身赤足地掳走，使埃及蒙受羞辱。

你们仍将裹着头巾，穿着鞋，不哭泣，也不悲伤。你们必因自己的罪恶而默然叹息，逐渐灭亡。

贵族派仆人去水池打水，仆人去那里发现没有水，就带着空瓶垂头丧气、羞愧难当地回去了。天不下雨，土地干裂，农夫沮丧地抱着头。

你要默然哀叹，不可为死人办丧事，仍要缠着头巾，穿着鞋，不可蒙着脸，也不可吃丧家吃的饭。”

要与喜乐的人同乐，与哀哭的人同哭。

如果身体某个肢体感到痛苦，全身也一同受苦。如果某个肢体得到荣耀，全身也一同喜乐。

于是，他们从橄榄山回到耶路撒冷。橄榄山距离耶路撒冷不远，约是安息日允许走的路程。

我不吃不喝，昼夜以泪洗面，人们整天讥笑我：“你的上帝在哪里？”从前我带领众人浩浩荡荡去上帝的殿，在欢呼、感恩声中一起过节。我回想这些事，心中无限忧伤。我的心啊！你为何沮丧？为何烦躁？要仰望上帝，因为我还要赞美祂——我的救主，我的上帝。我的上帝啊，我心中沮丧，便在约旦河、黑门山和米萨山想起你。你的瀑布发出巨响，回荡在深渊之间，你的洪涛巨浪淹没我。白天耶和华将祂的慈爱浇灌我；夜间我歌颂祂，向赐我生命的上帝祷告。我对上帝——我的磐石说：“你为何忘记我？为何要我受仇敌的攻击，使我哀伤不已呢？”仇敌的辱骂刺骨钻心。他们整天对我说：“你的上帝在哪里？”我的心啊！你为何沮丧？为何烦躁？要仰望上帝，因为我还要赞美祂——我的救主，我的上帝。上帝啊，求你为我伸张正义，在不虔敬的人面前为我辩护，救我脱离诡诈邪恶的人。你是保护我的上帝，你为何丢弃我？为何让我受仇敌的攻击，使我哀伤不已呢？

到那天，祂的脚必踏在耶路撒冷东面的橄榄山上，这山必从东至西分成两半，一半向北移，一半向南移，中间形成极大的山谷。

哀痛的人有福了，因为他们必得安慰。

快到橄榄山附近的伯法其和伯大尼时，耶稣派了两个门徒，说：

耶稣离开，像往常一样前往橄榄山，门徒也跟去了。

祂正走下橄榄山，将近耶路撒冷的时候，众门徒因为以往所见的神迹奇事，就欢腾起来，高声赞美上帝：

耶稣每天在圣殿里讲道，晚上则到城外的橄榄山上过夜。

耶稣快到耶路撒冷时，看见那城就哀哭，

我的心啊！你为何沮丧？为何烦躁？要仰望上帝，因为我还要赞美祂——我的救主，我的上帝。

含泪撒种的必欢呼着收割。含泪出去撒种的必欢呼着带回禾捆。
