最後的話，你們要在主裏、靠他力量的權能作剛強的人。要穿戴上帝的軍裝，使你們能站穩、來抵擋魔鬼的詭計。因為我們的戰鬥並不是對屬血與肉的人，乃是對「眾執政的」、「眾掌權的」、對那些統轄這「黑暗」世界的、對天界中諸惡靈。故此你們要拿起上帝的軍裝，好在險惡的日子能抵擋得住；並且既作成了一切事，還能站穩。所以你們要站穩，你們的腰用真誠束好了，義的胸甲穿上了，也把和平福音之準備着上了腳。此外又拿起了信仰的盾牌；用這個就能撲滅那邪惡者一切燒𤏲的箭。你們要把救恩的頭盔和聖靈的寶劍、就是上帝的話語、接過來。藉着各樣的禱告和祈求、時時刻刻用心靈祈禱；以十二分的恆心專在這事上覺醒着，為眾聖徒祈求，

亞蘭王的軍長乃縵在他的主上面前是個大人物，受人景仰，很有體面，因為永恆主曾藉着他使亞蘭人得勝；這人呢、是個有力氣英勇的人，卻患了痲瘋屬之病。

這一切王和他們的地、約書亞都儘一次地攻取了，因為永恆主以色列的上帝為以色列爭戰。

那一天永恆主使以色列人得勝，一直戰到伯和崙。
