He put garrisons in the Aramean kingdom of Damascus, and the Arameans became subject to him and brought tribute. The Lord gave David victory wherever he went.

He stationed some soldiers in the Aramean kingdom of Damascus. The people of Aram were brought under his rule. They gave him the gifts he required them to bring him. The Lord helped David win his battles everywhere he went.

Then David put garrisons in Aram of Damascus, and the Syrians became servants to David and brought tribute. And the Lord gave victory to David wherever he went.

Then he placed several army garrisons in Damascus, the Aramean capital, and the Arameans became David’s subjects and paid him tribute money. So the Lord made David victorious wherever he went.

你無論到哪裡去，我都與你同在；我必在你面前剪除你所有的仇敵。我要使你得享大名，像世上那些偉人的名一樣。

約拿單攻打非利士人在迦巴的駐軍，非利士人聽見了；掃羅就在全地吹角，說：“讓希伯來人都聽見。”

約拿單對替他拿武器的僕人說：“來！我們過到這些未受割禮的人的駐軍那裡去，也許耶和華會為我們動工，因為不論人多或人少，都不能妨礙耶和華施行拯救。”

願所有投靠你的人都喜樂，常常歡呼；願你保護他們，又願愛你名的人，因你歡樂。耶和華啊！因為你必賜福給義人，你要以恩惠像盾牌四面護衛他。

耶和華要保護你脫離一切災禍，他要保護你的性命。你出你入，耶和華要保護你，從現在直到永遠。

他教導我的手怎樣作戰，又使我的手臂可以拉開銅弓。你把你救恩的盾牌賜給我，你的右手扶持我，你的溫柔使我昌大。你使我腳底下的路徑寬闊，我的兩膝沒有動搖。我追趕仇敵，把他們追上；不消滅他們，我必不歸回。我重創他們，使他們不能起來；他們都倒在我的腳下。你以能力給我束腰，使我能夠作戰；你又使那些起來攻擊我的人都屈服在我的腳下。你使我的仇敵在我面前轉背逃跑，使我可以殲滅恨我的人。他們呼叫，卻沒有人拯救；就算向耶和華呼求，他也不答應他們。我搗碎他們，像風前的塵土，我傾倒他們，像街上的爛泥。你救我脫離了人民的爭競，你立我作列國的元首；我不認識的人民要服事我。他們一聽見，就服從我；外族人都向我假意歸順。外族人大勢已去，戰戰兢兢地從他們的要塞走出來。耶和華是永活的，我的磐石是應當稱頌的，拯救我的神是應當被尊為至高的。

大衛在以東設立駐防營，所有以東人就都臣服大衛。大衛無論到甚麼地方去，耶和華都使他得勝。

馬是為打仗之日預備的，勝利卻在於耶和華。

有一天，掃羅的兒子約拿單對替他拿武器的僕人說：“來！我們過到非利士人的駐軍那邊去吧。”但他沒有告訴父親。

於是在營房裡，在田野中和在眾人中間，都有恐慌，駐軍和突擊隊也都恐懼，地也震動，這是從神而來的恐懼。

現在可以實現了！因為耶和華曾經論到大衛說：‘我要藉著我的僕人大衛的手，把我的子民以色列從非利士人和他們所有敵人的手中拯救出來。’”

耶和華我的磐石是應當稱頌的。他教導我的手作戰，訓練我的指頭打仗。（本節在《馬索拉文本》包括細字標題）他是我慈愛的神、我的堡壘、我的高臺、我的救主、我的盾牌、我所投靠的，他使我的人民服在我以下。

他把軍隊安置在猶大的一切設防城裡，又在猶大地和他父親亞撒佔領的以法蓮各城裡駐紮防軍。

主耶和華，拯救我的力量啊，在爭戰的日子，你保護了我的頭。

他又擊敗摩押人，使他們躺在地上，用繩子量他們，把量兩繩的殺死，讓量一繩的存活。這樣，摩押人就臣服大衛，給他進貢。

那時大衛在山寨中，非利士人的駐軍卻在伯利恆。
