Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;

And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner[ stone];

And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,

I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.

Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.

For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands,[ which are] the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.( Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect,[ in whom] my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

The Spirit of the Lord GOD[ is] upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to[ them that are] bound;

[ What] and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.

Paul, an apostle,( not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)

Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and[ to] my God, and your God.

And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

And the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught.

Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?

Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.And ye are witnesses of these things.And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:And Simon he surnamed Peter;And James the[ son] of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder:And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the[ son] of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite,And Judas Iscariot, which also betrayed him: and they went into an house.

And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

And when he had called unto[ him] his twelve disciples, he gave them power[ against] unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James[ the son] of Zebedee, and John his brother;Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James[ the son] of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.

And when it was day, he called[ unto him] his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles;Simon,( whom he also named Peter,) and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew,Matthew and Thomas, James the[ son] of Alphaeus, and Simon called Zelotes,And Judas[ the brother] of James, and Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor.

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James[ the son] of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas[ the brother] of James.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway,[ even] unto the end of the world. Amen.

That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure[ unto him].

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth[ it].
