主命基督云、我立爾為異邦人之光、俾爾為救主、至於地極矣、

因主如是命我儕、經載天主語基督云、我立爾為異邦人之光、使爾施救至於地極、

主嘗示曰：「我立爾為萬國光、普施救恩於寰宇。」』

For this is what the Lord has commanded us:“‘ I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”

This is what the Lord has commanded us to do. He said,“‘ I have made you a light for the Gentiles. You will bring salvation to the whole earth.’ ”( Isaiah 49:6)

For so the Lord has commanded us, saying,“‘ I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”

For the Lord gave us this command when he said,‘ I have made you a light to the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the farthest corners of the earth.’”

For this is what the Lord has commanded us: I have made you a light for the Gentiles to bring salvation to the ends of the earth.”

For so the Lord has commanded us:‘ I have set you as a light to the Gentiles, That you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth.’”

For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee for a light of the Gentiles, That thou shouldest be for salvation unto the uttermost part of the earth.

“ I am the Lord, I have called You in righteousness, I will also hold You by the hand and watch over You, And I will appoint You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the nations,

A light for revelation for the Gentiles, And the glory of Your people Israel.”

Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; For I am God, and there is no other.

Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,

but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and as far as the remotest part of the earth.”

“ The Lord of armies says this:‘ It will yet turn out that peoples will come, that is, the inhabitants of many cities.The inhabitants of one city will go to another, saying,“ Let’s go at once to plead for the favor of the Lord, and to seek the Lord of armies; I also will go.”So many peoples and mighty nations will come to seek the Lord of armies in Jerusalem, and to plead for the favor of the Lord.’The Lord of armies says this:‘ In those days ten people from all the nations will grasp the garment of a Jew, saying,“ Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.” ’ ”

Praise the Lord, all nations; Sing His praises, all peoples!For His mercy toward us is great, And the truth of the Lord is everlasting. Praise the Lord!

That Your way may be known on the earth, Your salvation among all nations.May the peoples praise You, God; May all the peoples praise You.May the nations be glad and sing for joy; For You will judge the peoples with fairness And guide the nations on the earth. SelahMay the peoples praise You, God; May all the peoples praise You.The earth has yielded its produce; God, our God, blesses us.God blesses us, So that all the ends of the earth may fear Him.

The Lord has bared His holy arm In the sight of all the nations, So that all the ends of the earth may see The salvation of our God.

Yet the number of the sons of Israel Will be like the sand of the sea, Which cannot be measured or counted; And in the place Where it is said to them,“ You are not My people,” It will be said to them,“ You are the sons of the living God.”

Nations will come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.

“ Behold, My Servant, whom I uphold; My chosen one in whom My soul delights. I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the nations.

The Lord has made His salvation known; He has revealed His righteousness in the sight of the nations.He has remembered His graciousness and His faithfulness to the house of Israel; All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

For so it will be in the midst of the earth among the peoples, As the shaking of an olive tree, As the gleanings when the grape harvest is over.They raise their voices, they shout for joy; They cry out from the west concerning the majesty of the Lord.Therefore glorify the Lord in the east, The name of the Lord, the God of Israel, In the coastlands of the sea.From the ends of the earth we hear songs:“ Glory to the Righteous One,” But I say,“ I am finished! I am finished! Woe to me! The treacherous deal treacherously, And the treacherous deal very treacherously.”

Behold, the former things have come to pass, Now I declare new things; Before they sprout I proclaim them to you.”Sing to the Lord a new song, Sing His praise from the end of the earth! You who go down to the sea, and all that is in it; You islands, and those who live on them.Let the wilderness and its cities raise their voices, The settlements which Kedar inhabits. Let the inhabitants of Sela sing aloud, Let them shout for joy from the tops of the mountains.Let them give glory to the Lord And declare His praise in the coastlands.

The word which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.Now it will come about that In the last days The mountain of the house of the Lord Will be established as the chief of the mountains, And will be raised above the hills; And all the nations will stream to it.And many peoples will come and say,“ Come, let’s go up to the mountain of the Lord, To the house of the God of Jacob; So that He may teach us about His ways, And that we may walk in His paths.” For the law will go out from Zion And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, And all the families of the nations will worship before You.For the kingdom is the Lord’s And He rules over the nations.All the prosperous of the earth will eat and worship, All those who go down to the dust will kneel before Him, Even he who cannot keep his soul alive.

Sing to the Lord a new song; Sing to the Lord, all the earth.Sing to the Lord, bless His name; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.

So they will fear the name of the Lord from the west And His glory from the rising of the sun, For He will come like a rushing stream Which the wind of the Lord drives.“ A Redeemer will come to Zion, And to those in Jacob who turn from wrongdoing,” declares the Lord.

May the righteous flourish in his days, As well as an abundance of peace, until the moon is no more.May he also rule from sea to sea, And from the Euphrates River to the ends of the earth.

So that they may possess the remnant of Edom And all the nations who are called by My name,” Declares the Lord who does this.

Many nations will come and say,“ Come and let’s go up to the mountain of the Lord And to the house of the God of Jacob, So that He may teach us about His ways, And that we may walk in His paths.” For from Zion will go forth the law, And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.And He will judge between many peoples And render decisions for mighty, distant nations. Then they will beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation will not lift a sword against nation, And never again will they train for war.

And He said to me,‘ Go! For I will send you far away to the Gentiles.’ ”

And He said to them,“ Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.

But the Lord said to him,“ Go, for he is a chosen instrument of Mine, to bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel;

“ And many nations will join themselves to the Lord on that day and will become My people. Then I will dwell in your midst, and you will know that the Lord of armies has sent Me to you.

For from the rising of the sun even to its setting, My name shall be great among the nations, and in every place frankincense is going to be offered to My name, and a grain offering that is pure; for My name shall be great among the nations,” says the Lord of armies.

Simeon has described how God first concerned Himself about taking a people for His name from among the Gentiles.The words of the Prophets agree with this, just as it is written:‘ After these things I will return, And I will rebuild the fallen tabernacle of David, And I will rebuild its ruins, And I will restore it,

For then I will restore to the peoples pure lips, So that all of them may call on the name of the Lord, To serve Him shoulder to shoulder.From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia My worshipers, My dispersed ones, Will bring My offerings.

and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

Then the remnant of Jacob Will be among many peoples Like dew from the Lord, Like showers on vegetation That do not wait for man, Or delay for mankind.

as to whether the Christ was to suffer, and whether, as first from the resurrection of the dead, He would proclaim light both to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles.”

rescuing you from the Jewish people and from the Gentiles, to whom I am sending you,to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me.’

Lord, my strength and my stronghold, And my refuge in the day of distress, To You the nations will come From the ends of the earth and say,“ Our fathers have inherited nothing but falsehood, Futility, and things of no benefit.”
