Then they took him and brought him to a meeting of the Areopagus, where they said to him,“ May we know what this new teaching is that you are presenting?

保罗站在亚略．巴古当中，说：“各位雅典人，我看你们在各方面都非常敬畏鬼神。

亚基帕对保罗说：“准你为自己申辩。”于是保罗伸手辩护说：

你们为我的缘故，也要被带到统治者和君王面前，向他们和外族人作见证。

亚基帕对非斯都说：“我也想听听这人说些什么。”非斯都说：“明天就请你来听。”

亲爱的，我写给你们的，不是一条新命令，而是你们本来就有的旧命令。这旧命令就是你们听过的道。然而，因为黑暗渐渐消逝，真光已在照耀，我写给你们的也是一条新命令，这在神和在你们来说，都是真的。

过了几天，腓力斯和他的犹太妻子土西拉一同来到，他又传见保罗，听他谈论在耶稣基督里的信仰。

我给你们一条新命令，就是要你们彼此相爱；我怎样爱你们，你们也要怎样彼此相爱。

因为你把一切新奇的事，传到我们耳中，我们愿意知道这些事是什么意思。”
