往立於殿、以此維生之言、悉語於民、

“ Go, stand in the temple courts,” he said,“ and tell the people all about this new life.”

Simon Peter answered Him,“ Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life.

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh provides no benefit; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit, and are life.

What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life—and the life was revealed, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was revealed to us—what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.

Then Baruch read to all the people from the book the words of Jeremiah in the house of the Lord in the chamber of Gemariah the son of Shaphan the scribe, in the upper courtyard, at the entry of the New Gate of the Lord’s house.

and he will speak words to you by which you will be saved, you and all your household.’

Pashhur had Jeremiah the prophet beaten and put him in the stocks that were at the upper Benjamin Gate, which was by the house of the Lord.Then on the next day, when Pashhur released Jeremiah from the stocks, Jeremiah said to him,“ Pashhur is not the name the Lord has called you, but rather Magor missabib.

When He entered the temple area, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to Him while He was teaching, and said,“ By what authority are You doing these things, and who gave You this authority?”

“ Stand at the gate of the Lord’s house and proclaim there this word, and say,‘ Hear the word of the Lord, all you of Judah, who enter by these gates to worship the Lord!’ ”

“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Stand in the courtyard of the Lord’s house, and speak to all the cities of Judah who have come to worship in the Lord’s house all the words that I have commanded you to speak to them. Do not omit a word!

Jesus answered him,“ I have spoken openly to the world; I always taught in synagogues and in the temple area, where all the Jews congregate; and I said nothing in secret.

Then Moses came and reported to the people all the words of the Lord and all the ordinances; and all the people answered with one voice and said,“ All the words which the Lord has spoken we will do!”

And I know that His commandment is eternal life; therefore the things I speak, I speak just as the Father has told Me.”

This is what the Lord says:“ Go down to the house of the king of Judah and there speak this word,and say,‘ Hear the word of the Lord, O king of Judah, who sits on David’s throne, you and your servants and your people who enter these gates.

for the words which You gave Me I have given to them; and they received them and truly understood that I came forth from You, and they believed that You sent Me.

Then Jeremiah came from Topheth, where the Lord had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the courtyard of the Lord’s house and said to all the people,“ This is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel says:‘ Behold, I am going to bring on this city and all its towns the entire disaster that I have declared against it, because they have stiffened their necks so as not to listen to My words.’ ”

“ Cry loudly, do not hold back; Raise your voice like a trumpet, And declare to My people their wrongdoing, And to the house of Jacob their sins.

And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.
