司提反被殺掉、掃羅也贊同着。就在那一天就起了大逼迫、苦害那在耶路撒冷的教會；使徒以外，眾人都四散在猶太和撒瑪利亞各地區。

又知道了主所賜給我的恩，那些有名望的柱石、雅各、磯法、約翰、就伸出團契的右手來跟我和巴拿巴握手，叫我們到外國人中間去，而他們卻到受割禮的人那裏去。

而打發提摩太、在基督的福音上做我們的兄弟、做上帝同工的、為着你們信心的益處、去使你們堅固，去鼓勵你們，

為了這緣故、我們就不住地感謝上帝，因為你們從我們領受了所聽的上帝之道；你們接受了，不認為是人之道，乃認為是上帝之道，也真地是：並且在你們信的人身上運用着動力呢。

使徒和那些在猶太中的弟兄就聽說外國人也接受了上帝之道。

彼得約翰上殿去，要守下午三點禱告的時辰。有一個人、從母腹裏就瘸腿的、正被抬着；人天天把他放在殿的一個門口、叫美門的，想要從進殿的人求施捨。他看見彼得約翰將要進殿，就求施捨。

但那撒在好土上的，是人聽了道就領悟；他總是結實：有的結了一百倍，有的六十倍，有的三十倍。』

棄絕我、不領受我話的人、有定他罪的：我所講的道、在末日必定他的罪。

耶穌就差遣彼得約翰說：『你們去給我們豫備逾越節的筵席、讓我們喫吧。』

這裏的人比在帖撒羅尼迦的高尚；他們很熱心地接受這道，天天考查經典、看這些事是不是這樣。

於是領受他話的人都受了洗；那一天約加了三千人。

當時那些因司提反的事所引起的苦難而四散的人走遍那地方，直到腓尼基、居比路和安提阿，不對別人、只對猶太人講道。但他們中間卻有幾個居比路和古利奈的人、這些人到了安提阿，也對希利尼人講論，將主耶穌這福音傳出來。主的手與他們同在，信而轉向了主的人、數目很大。關於他們的事的傳言、已經到了耶路撒冷教會的人耳中，會眾就差遣巴拿巴出去，直到安提阿。

到了耶路撒冷，他們受教會、使徒和長老的接待，就報告上帝同他們所行的一切事。
