But Peter sent them all out and knelt down and prayed, and turning to the body, he said,“ Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.

Peter sent them all out of the room; then he got down on his knees and prayed. Turning toward the dead woman, he said,“ Tabitha, get up.” She opened her eyes, and seeing Peter she sat up.

But when the crowd had been sent out, He entered and took her by the hand, and the girl got up.

Then he fell on his knees and cried out with a loud voice,“ Lord, do not hold this sin against them!” Having said this, he fell asleep.

He, however, took her by the hand and spoke forcefully, saying,“ Child, arise!”

And they began laughing at Him. But putting them all outside, He* took along the child’s father and mother and His own companions, and* entered the room where the child was in bed.And taking the child by the hand, He* said to her,“ Talitha, kum!”( which translated means,“ Little girl, I say to you, get up!”).And immediately the girl got up and began to walk, for she was twelve years old. And immediately they were completely astonished.

When Elisha entered the house, behold the boy was dead, laid on his bed.So he entered and shut the door behind them both, and he prayed to the Lord.Then he got up on the bed and lay on the child, and put his mouth on his mouth, his eyes on his eyes, his hands on his hands, and he bent down on him; and the flesh of the child became warm.Then he returned and walked in the house back and forth once, and went up and bent down on him; and the boy sneezed seven times, then the boy opened his eyes.And he called Gehazi and said,“ Call this Shunammite.” So he called her. And when she came to him, he said,“ Pick up your son.”

And He withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and began to pray,

And when He had said these things, He cried out with a loud voice,“ Lazarus, come out!”Out came the man who had died, bound hand and foot with wrappings, and his face was wrapped around with a cloth. Jesus* said to them,“ Unbind him, and let him go.”

But he said to her,“ Give me your son.” Then he took him from her arms and carried him up to the upstairs room where he was living, and laid him on his own bed.And he called to the Lord and said,“ Lord, my God, have You also brought catastrophe upon the widow with whom I am staying, by causing her son to die?”Then he stretched himself out over the boy three times, and called to the Lord and said,“ Lord, my God, please, let this boy’s life return to him.”And the Lord listened to the voice of Elijah, and the life of the boy returned to him and he revived.Elijah then took the boy and brought him down from the upstairs room into the house and gave him to his mother; and Elijah said,“ See, your son is alive.”

When he had said these things, he knelt down and prayed with them all.

When our days there were ended, we left and started on our journey, while they all, with wives and children, escorted us until we were out of the city. After kneeling down on the beach and praying, we said farewell to one another.

When Jesus saw that a crowd was rapidly gathering, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it,“ You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him and do not enter him again!”
