He said,“ Amos, what do you see?” I said,“ A basket of summer fruit.” Then Yahweh said to me,“ The end has come on my people Israel. I will not again pass by them any more.

“ What do you see, Amos?” he asked.“ A basket of ripe fruit,” I answered. Then the Lord said to me,“ The time is ripe for my people Israel; I will spare them no longer.

“ What do you see, Amos?” he asked.“ A basket of ripe fruit,” I replied. Then the Lord said to me,“ The time is ripe for my people Israel. I will no longer spare them.

And he said,“ Amos, what do you see?” And I said,“ A basket of summer fruit.” Then the Lord said to me,“ The end has come upon my people Israel; I will never again pass by them.

“ What do you see, Amos?” he asked. I replied,“ A basket full of ripe fruit.” Then the Lord said,“ Like this fruit, Israel is ripe for punishment! I will not delay their punishment again.

He asked me,“ What do you see, Amos?” I replied,“ A basket of summer fruit.” The LORD said to me,“ The end has come for my people Israel; I will no longer spare them.

And He said,“ What do you see, Amos?” And I said,“ A basket of summer fruit.” Then the Lord said to me,“ The end has come for My people Israel. I will not spare them any longer.

And He said,“ Amos, what do you see?” So I said,“ A basket of summer fruit.” Then the Lord said to me:“ The end has come upon My people Israel; I will not pass by them anymore.

And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said Jehovah unto me, The end is come upon my people Israel; I will not again pass by them any more.

He asked me,“ What do you see, Amos?” I replied,“ A basket of summer fruit.” The Lord said to me,“ The end has come for My people Israel; I will no longer spare them.

And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the LORD unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more.

He said,“ What do you see, Amos?” I replied,“ A basket of summer fruit.” Then the LORD said to me,“ The end has come for my people Israel! I will no longer overlook their sins.

Yahweh said to me,“ Amos, what do you see?” I said,“ A plumb line.” Then the Lord said,“ Behold, I will set a plumb line in the middle of my people Israel. I will not again pass by them any more.

They hunt our steps, so that we can’t go in our streets. Our end is near. Our days are fulfilled, for our end has come.

Yahweh showed me, and behold, two baskets of figs were set before Yahweh’s temple, after Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the craftsmen and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.One basket had very good figs, like the figs that are first- ripe; and the other basket had very bad figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad.Then Yahweh asked me,“ What do you see, Jeremiah?” I said,“ Figs. The good figs are very good, and the bad are very bad, so bad that can’t be eaten.”

Misery is mine! Indeed, I am like one who gathers the summer fruits, as gleanings of the vineyard: There is no cluster of grapes to eat. My soul desires to eat the early fig.

Moreover Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,“ Jeremiah, what do you see?” I said,“ I see a branch of an almond tree.”Then Yahweh said to me,“ You have seen well; for I watch over my word to perform it.”Yahweh’s word came to me the second time, saying,“ What do you see?” I said,“ I see a boiling cauldron; and it is tipping away from the north.”Then Yahweh said to me,“ Out of the north, evil will break out on all the inhabitants of the land.

The fading flower of his glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fertile valley, shall be like the first- ripe fig before the summer; which someone picks and eats as soon as he sees it.

“ You, son of man, the Lord Yahweh says to the land of Israel,‘ An end! The end has come on the four corners of the land.Now is the end on you, and I will send my anger on you, and will judge you according to your ways. I will bring on you all your abominations.

But the house of Israel will not listen to you, for they will not listen to me; for all the house of Israel are obstinate and hard- hearted.

Moreover he said to me,“ Son of man, receive in your heart and hear with your ears all my words that I speak to you.

He said to me,“ What do you see?” I answered,“ I see a flying scroll; its length is twenty cubits, and its width ten cubits.”

As for me, behold, I will dwell at Mizpah, to stand before the Chaldeans who will come to us; but you, gather wine and summer fruits and oil, and put them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that you have taken.”

Then he said to me,“ Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in his rooms of imagery? For they say,‘ Yahweh doesn’t see us. Yahweh has forsaken the land.’”

It shall be, when you have come in to the land which Yahweh your God gives you for an inheritance, possess it, and dwell in it,that you shall take some of the first of all the fruit of the ground, which you shall bring in from your land that Yahweh your God gives you. You shall put it in a basket, and shall go to the place which Yahweh your God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there.You shall come to the priest who shall be in those days, and tell him,“ I profess today to Yahweh your God, that I have come to the land which Yahweh swore to our fathers to give us.”The priest shall take the basket out of your hand, and set it down before Yahweh your God’s altar.

The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own authority; and my people love to have it so. What will you do in the end of it?

When David was a little past the top, behold, Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth met him with a couple of donkeys saddled, and on them two hundred loaves of bread, and one hundred clusters of raisins, and one hundred summer fruits, and a container of wine.The king said to Ziba,“ What do you mean by these?” Ziba said,“ The donkeys are for the king’s household to ride on; and the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat; and the wine, that those who are faint in the wilderness may drink.”

An end has come. The end has come! It awakes against you. Behold, it comes.

I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, four horns.I asked the angel who talked with me,“ What are these?” He answered me,“ These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.”Yahweh showed me four craftsmen.Then I asked,“ What are these coming to do?” He said,“ These are the horns which scattered Judah, so that no man lifted up his head; but these have come to terrify them, to cast down the horns of the nations, which lifted up their horn against the land of Judah to scatter it.”

He said to me,“ Son of man, do you see what they do? Even the great abominations that the house of Israel commit here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? But you will again see yet other great abominations.”

Then he said to me,“ Have you seen this, son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? For they have filled the land with violence, and have turned again to provoke me to anger. Behold, they put the branch to their nose.

Tell them therefore,‘ The Lord Yahweh says:“ I will make this proverb to cease, and they will no more use it as a proverb in Israel;”’ but tell them,‘“ The days are at hand, and the fulfillment of every vision.

Then the angel who talked with me came forward, and said to me,“ Lift up now your eyes, and see what this is that is appearing.”I said,“ What is it?” He said,“ This is the ephah basket that is appearing.” He said moreover,“ This is their appearance in all the land

“‘ Therefore the Lord Yahweh says:“ Behold, I will bring a sword on you, and will cut off man and animal from you.
