故當滅爾在地之肢體所作之罪、即姦淫、污穢、邪侈、惡慾、貪婪、貪婪與拜偶像同罪、

故應將一切卑污之心事、置諸死地，凡淫亂、卑污、邪情、惡慾、貪孌、莫非崇拜偶像之變相、

Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.

So put to death anything that comes from sinful desires. Get rid of sexual sins and impure acts. Don’t let your feelings get out of control. Remove from your life all evil desires. Stop always wanting more and more. You might as well be worshiping statues of gods.

Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.

Therefore, put to death what belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desire, and greed, which is idolatry.

And they that are of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with the passions and the lusts thereof.

But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as becometh saints;nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, or jesting, which are not befitting: but rather giving of thanks.For this ye know of a surety, that no fornicator, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.Let no man deceive you with empty words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the sons of disobedience.

Beloved, I beseech you as sojourners and pilgrims, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Howbeit, I had not known sin, except through the law: for I had not known coveting, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet:but sin, finding occasion, wrought in me through the commandment all manner of coveting: for apart from the law sin is dead.

who being past feeling gave themselves up to lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall bring to nought both it and them. But the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body:

lest again when I come my God should humble me before you, and I should mourn for many of them that have sinned heretofore, and repented not of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they committed.

But for the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, their part shall be in the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone; which is the second death.

but I see a different law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity under the law of sin which is in my members.

For out of the heart come forth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, railings:

Whence come wars and whence come fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your pleasures that war in your members?

Without are the dogs, and the sorcerers, and the fornicators, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and every one that loveth and maketh a lie.

For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye abstain from fornication;

Let marriage be had in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: for fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

not at all meaning with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous and extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world:but as it is, I wrote unto you not to keep company, if any man that is named a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such a one no, not to eat.

For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions, which were through the law, wrought in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

It is actually reported that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not even among the Gentiles, that one of you hath his father’s wife.

being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

For from within, out of the heart of men, evil thoughts proceed, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries,covetings, wickednesses, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, railing, pride, foolishness:

knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away, that so we should no longer be in bondage to sin;

For this cause God gave them up unto vile passions: for their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature:

lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one mess of meat sold his own birthright.

not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who know not God;
