The two kings, with their hearts bent on evil, will sit at the same table and lie to each other, but to no avail, because an end will still come at the appointed time.

The kings of Syria and Egypt will sit at the same table. But in their hearts they will plan to do what is evil. And they will tell lies to each other. But it will not do them any good. God will put an end to their plans at his appointed time.

And as for the two kings, their hearts shall be bent on doing evil. They shall speak lies at the same table, but to no avail, for the end is yet to be at the time appointed.

通達人之中有些仆倒的，那是要在其餘的人中間施行鍛鍊磨淨洗白的工夫，直到末了時期，因為到了定期、結局還是來到。

而搜索出我們所作成的奸惡呢？』深思熟慮的設計、人的內裏和心思是深沉的啊。

因為異象還在等候它的定期；它向着結局喘吁吁地急進，必不令人失望。就使它躭延，你還要等候；因為它一定臨到，必不遲延。』

不可喫小心眼兒人的飯；不可貪好他的美味；因為他心裏怎樣計算，他的為人就是怎樣。他儘管對你說『請喫，請喝！』他的心卻不跟你在一起。你所喫的那一點食物、你會吐出來；你就把你的佳言美語蹧蹋了。

他說：『我要指示你知道上帝震怒之末期所必有的事，因為這是關於末了之定期的。

『到了末了時期、南方王必跟他牴觸來牴觸去；北方王必用戰車、馬兵、和許多戰船、勢如暴風、來攻擊他；也必進入列國、如大水氾濫，橫流漫過。

不，你們是心中行着不義，而在地上以手秤出強暴的。

勇士啊，你為甚麼以行壞事自誇，而攻擊上帝堅貞之士呢？

圖謀壞事的、心裏有詭詐；設計社會福利的、有喜樂。

油滑的嘴、奸惡的心、好像釉兒包在瓦器上。

七月間以利沙瑪的孫子尼探雅的兒子以實瑪利、就是王家後裔、王的大臣、帶了十個人跟着他到米斯巴來見亞希甘的兒子基大利；他們在米斯巴那裏一同喫飯。尼探雅的兒子以實瑪利和跟着他的那十個人就起來，用刀擊殺了沙番的孫子亞希甘的兒子基大利，殺死了他；他是巴比倫王所立為總督來管理這地的。所有跟着他的、就是跟着基大利的猶大人、以及當場在那裏的迦勒底人、以實瑪利都給擊殺了。

人心裏多有設計，惟獨永恆主的計畫才能立定。

弟兄們，關於時候與時期、你們無需乎人寫信給你們了，

你要說：主永恆主這麼說：這葡萄樹哪能發旺呢？鷹難道不將它的根拔起，將它的枝子芟除，使發生的嫩葉都枯乾掉麼？這也不必用大力和許多人去從根那裏將它拔出呀。

波斯王古列第三年、有神言啓示給名叫伯提沙撒的但以理；這神言是真的，是有關於大鬪爭。但以理很注意這神言；並理會到所見的景象。

押沙龍說：『不、求王許我哥哥暗嫩和我們一同去吧。』王對他說：『為甚麼要暗嫩和你一同去呢？』

耶穌對他們說：『父放在自己權內所定的時候或時期、並不是給你們知道的。

『到了定期、他必返回到南方；但這後一次卻不如前一次。

因為他已經定了一個日子，將要藉着他所立定的人、按公義審判天下、把可信的憑據供給萬人，使他從死人中復起。』

下流人不過是虛幻，上流人乃是虛假；放在天平裏就浮起；一概是噓氣。
