“ I know your works and where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is. You hold firmly to my name, and didn’t deny my faith in the days of Antipas my witness, my faithful one, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.

Those who are wise will shine as the brightness of the expanse. Those who turn many to righteousness will shine as the stars forever and ever.But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end. Many will run back and forth, and knowledge will be increased.”

He answered them,“ To you it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but it is not given to them.

The eyes of those who see will not be dim, and the ears of those who hear will listen.The heart of the rash will understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers will be ready to speak plainly.

For this cause I also suffer these things. Yet I am not ashamed, for I know him whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able to guard that which I have committed to him against that day.

Others were tried by mocking and scourging, yes, moreover by bonds and imprisonment.They were stoned. They were sawn apart. They were tempted. They were slain with the sword. They went around in sheep skins and in goat skins; being destitute, afflicted, ill- treated—of whom the world was not worthy— wandering in deserts, mountains, caves, and the holes of the earth.
