我得默示、知患難將至、強者行攘奪、暴者行虐遇、無所禁止、以攔人、米太人往哉、環攻巴比倫、維昔巴比倫俾民哀號、己不令此聲入耳矣。巴比倫人曰、我罹患難、憂心戚戚、劬勞如臨產之婦、恐懼觳觫、不忍見聞、我心昏迷、戰栗特甚、深宵宴樂、忽變駭懼、

蓋剝奪其民、至於貧乏、則遺棄之、人所建之第宅、則強據之。其衷懷不能恬適、其嗜好不能長存。其所食無餘、其享福不永。即當隆盛之時、必遇困厄、受其虐遇者、必群起而攻擊。彼既飽其貪饕、上帝震怒、降災如下雨、使之備嘗。雖避鐵器、而傷於銅弓。利鏃白刃、深入其膽、拔而出之、不勝戰栗、災害臨之、電火焚之、居其室者、咸遇患難。天癉其惡、地罰其罪。
