At that time the Lord said to me,“ Chisel out two stone tablets like the first ones and come up to me on the mountain. Also make a wooden ark.

“ At that time the Lord said to me,‘ Cut out for yourself two tablets of stone like the first two, and come up to Me on the mountain, and make an ark of wood for yourself.

“ At that time the Lord said to me,‘ Hew for yourself two tablets of stone like the first, and come up to Me on the mountain and make yourself an ark of wood.

At that time Jehovah said unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an ark of wood.

“ The Lord said to me at that time,‘ Cut two stone tablets like the first ones and come to Me on the mountain and make a wooden ark.

耶和華對摩西說：“你要鑿出兩塊石版，好像先前的一樣，我要把先前寫在你摔碎了的石版上的字寫在這兩塊石版上。早晨之前，你要預備好了；到早晨的時候，你要上到西奈山來，在山頂上站在我面前。

“他們要用皂莢木做一個櫃，長一百一十公分，寬六十六公分，高六十六公分。你要用純金包櫃，內外都要包上；櫃上的四圍要做金邊。你要鑄造四個金環，安放在櫃的四腳上，兩個環在這邊，兩個環在那邊。你要用皂莢木做幾根櫃槓，並要用金包裹起來。你要把櫃槓穿在櫃旁的環中，以便用槓抬櫃。櫃槓要常留在櫃的環中，不可抽出環外。

摩西就鑿了兩塊石版，好像先前的一樣。他一早起來，照著耶和華吩咐他的，上到西奈山去，手裡拿著兩塊石版。

於是我用皂莢木做了一個櫃，又鑿出了兩塊石版，和先前的一樣；然後我手裡拿著這兩塊石版，上山去了。耶和華把先前所寫的，就是在集會的日子，在山上從火中告訴你們的十誡，都寫在這兩塊版上；耶和華把石版交給了我。

裡面有金香壇，有全部包金的約櫃，櫃裡有盛著嗎哪的金罐、亞倫那發過芽的杖和兩塊約板。
