Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and the Lord your God redeemed you. That is why I give you this command today.

神差派了自己的独生子到世上来，好使我们能藉着他而活；如此，属神的爱就在我们里面显明了。并不是我们爱了神，而是神爱了我们，差派他的儿子来，为我们的罪孽做了平息祭——在这里就是爱了。各位蒙爱的人哪，既然神如此爱我们，我们也应该彼此相爱。

他为我们献上自己，是为了救赎我们脱离一切罪恶，并且洁净我们做他自己特选的子民，做美好工作的热心人。

“要知道，你们如果饶恕别人的过犯，你们的天父也会饶恕你们。你们如果不饶恕别人，你们的父也不会饶恕你们的过犯。

我们从这一点就知道了爱：基督为我们舍弃了自己的生命，我们也应该为弟兄舍弃生命。

“于是主人把那奴仆叫来，对他说：‘你这恶奴！因为你求我，我就免了你所有的债。难道你不也该怜悯与你同做奴仆的，像我怜悯了你一样吗？’

在他里面，我们藉着他的血，得蒙救赎、过犯得到赦免，都是出于神恩典的丰盛。

“你们这些追求公义、寻求耶和华的人哪，要听我的话！你们要仰望那磐石，你们是从其上凿出来的；你们要仰望那岩穴，你们是从其中挖出来的。

要以仁慈彼此相待，心存怜悯，互相饶恕，就像神在基督里饶恕了你们那样。所以，做为蒙爱的儿女，你们要效法神；要在爱中行事，就像基督也爱了我们，为我们舍弃了自己，做供物和祭物献给神，成为馨香的气味。

那时候，你们与基督无关；被排除在以色列国民之外；在那些所应许的诸约上是外人；在这世界上没有盼望、没有神。
