The Lord will cause you to be defeated before your enemies. You will come at them from one direction but flee from them in seven, and you will become a thing of horror to all the kingdoms on earth.

The Lord will help your enemies win the battle over you. You will come at them from one direction. But you will run away from them in every direction. All the kingdoms on earth will be completely shocked when they see you.

一個敵人就可以威嚇你們一千個人，若五個敵人威嚇你們，你們都要逃跑了！以致你們所剩下的，必孤立如同山頂上的旗杆，岡陵上的旗幟。

我必使他們成為地上萬國所驚恐、所討厭的；在我趕逐他們到的各地方，成為被人羞辱、譏笑、嘲弄、咒詛的對象。

“那起來攻擊你的仇敵，耶和華必使他們在你面前被擊敗；他們從一條路出來攻擊你，必在你面前從七條路逃跑。

如果不是他們的磐石把他們出賣了，如果不是耶和華把他們交出來，一人怎能追趕一千人，二人怎能使萬人逃跑呢？

我向你們變臉，你們就敗在仇敵面前；恨惡你們的要管轄你們；雖然沒有人追趕，你們仍然逃跑。

如果他們問你：‘我們要去哪裡？’你就告訴他們：‘耶和華這樣說：該死亡的，就死亡；該被刀劍所殺的，就被刀劍所殺；該遭遇饑荒的，就遭遇饑荒；該被擄的，就被擄去！’我要命定四種刑罰對付他們，就是刀劍殺戮，屍體被野狗拖走，被空中的飛鳥和地上的走獸吞吃與毀滅。”這是耶和華的宣告。“因猶大王希西家的兒子瑪拿西在耶路撒冷的所作所為，我必使地上萬國看見他們的遭遇就驚恐。”“耶路撒冷啊！誰會可憐你呢？誰會為你悲傷呢？誰會轉身向你問安呢？你離棄了我，你轉身背著我；因此我要伸手攻擊你，毀滅你，我不會再回心轉意。”這是耶和華的宣告。“我在這地的城門口，用簸箕簸了我的子民，使他們喪掉兒女，使他們滅亡；他們仍不轉離自己所行的路。我使他們寡婦的數目比海沙還多；我使行毀滅的在午間臨到我的子民，打擊年輕人的母親，使痛苦的驚恐忽然臨到她們身上。那生過七個子女的母親衰竭疲弱，幾乎氣絕；還在白晝，她的太陽已經西落，她必慚愧蒙羞。我必使他們餘剩的人在敵人面前死於刀下。”這是耶和華的宣告。

至於你們剩下的人，我必使他們在仇敵之地膽戰心驚；風吹落葉也會嚇跑他們；他們必逃跑，好像逃避刀劍一樣；雖然無人追趕，他們卻跌倒。雖然無人追趕，他們卻像面臨刀劍，彼此撞跌；你們在仇敵面前，不能站立得住。

我必用刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫追趕他們，使他們成為地上萬國所驚懼的，在我趕逐他們到的各國中，成為令人驚駭、被人咒罵、嗤笑、羞辱的對象。

“所以，耶和華這樣說：‘你們各人沒有聽從我，向兄弟、同胞宣告自由；看哪！我現在向你們宣告自由，容讓你們遭受刀劍、瘟疫和饑荒，使你們成為地上萬國所驚懼的。’這是耶和華的宣告。

他們將倒在刀下，被擄到各國，耶路撒冷必被外族人踐踏，直到外族人的日期滿足。
