But commission Joshua, and encourage and strengthen him, for he will lead this people across and will cause them to inherit the land that you will see.”

So appoint Joshua as the new leader. Help him to be brave. Give him hope and strength. He will take these people across the Jordan. You will see the land. But he will lead them into it to take it as their own.”

Yahweh your God himself will go over before you. He will destroy these nations from before you, and you shall dispossess them. Joshua will go over before you, as Yahweh has spoken.

Moses called to Joshua, and said to him in the sight of all Israel,“ Be strong and courageous, for you shall go with this people into the land which Yahweh has sworn to their fathers to give them; and you shall cause them to inherit it.

Joshua the son of Nun, who stands before you, shall go in there. Encourage him, for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.

He commissioned Joshua the son of Nun, and said,“ Be strong and courageous; for you shall bring the children of Israel into the land which I swore to them. I will be with you.”

Yahweh said to Moses,“ Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him.Set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and commission him in their sight.You shall give authority to him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may obey.He shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire for him by the judgment of the Urim before Yahweh. At his word they shall go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.”Moses did as Yahweh commanded him. He took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation.He laid his hands on him and commissioned him, as Yahweh spoke by Moses.

David said to Solomon his son,“ Be strong and courageous, and do it. Don’t be afraid, nor be dismayed; for Yahweh God, even my God, is with you. He will not fail you, nor forsake you, until all the work for the service of Yahweh’s house is finished.

For if Joshua had given them rest, he would not have spoken afterward of another day.

I command you before God, who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate testified the good confession,that you keep the commandment without spot, blameless, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,

which also our fathers, in their turn, brought in with Joshua when they entered into the possession of the nations, whom God drove out before the face of our fathers, to the days of David,

You, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind; for Yahweh searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.Take heed now; for Yahweh has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary. Be strong, and do it.”

You therefore, my child, be strengthened in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.The things which you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit the same things to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.

I command you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at his appearing and his Kingdom:preach the word; be urgent in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all patience and teaching.For the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts,and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn away to fables.But you be sober in all things, suffer hardship, do the work of an evangelist, and fulfill your ministry.For I am already being offered, and the time of my departure has come.

Then he called for Solomon his son, and commanded him to build a house for Yahweh, the God of Israel.

Yahweh said to Joshua,“ Today I will begin to magnify you in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that as I was with Moses, so I will be with you.You shall command the priests who bear the ark of the covenant, saying,‘ When you come to the brink of the waters of the Jordan, you shall stand still in the Jordan.’”Joshua said to the children of Israel,“ Come here, and hear the words of Yahweh your God.”Joshua said,“ By this you shall know that the living God is among you, and that he will without fail drive the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Hivite, the Perizzite, the Girgashite, the Amorite, and the Jebusite out from before you.Behold, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth passes over before you into the Jordan.Now therefore take twelve men out of the tribes of Israel, for every tribe a man.It shall be that when the soles of the feet of the priests who bear the ark of Yahweh, the Lord of all the earth, rest in the waters of the Jordan, that the waters of the Jordan will be cut off. The waters that come down from above shall stand in one heap.”When the people moved from their tents to pass over the Jordan, the priests who bore the ark of the covenant being before the people,and when those who bore the ark had come to the Jordan, and the feet of the priests who bore the ark had dipped in the edge of the water( for the Jordan overflows all its banks all the time of harvest),the waters which came down from above stood, and rose up in one heap a great way off, at Adam, the city that is beside Zarethan; and those that went down toward the sea of the Arabah, even the Salt Sea, were wholly cut off. Then the people passed over near Jericho.The priests who bore the ark of Yahweh’s covenant stood firm on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan; and all Israel crossed over on dry ground, until all the nation had passed completely over the Jordan.

For the law was given through Moses. Grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.

“ Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go across this Jordan, you and all these people, to the land which I am giving to them, even to the children of Israel.

Now, my son, may Yahweh be with you and prosper you, and build the house of Yahweh your God, as he has spoken concerning you.May Yahweh give you discretion and understanding, and put you in charge of Israel; that so you may keep the law of Yahweh your God.Then you will prosper, if you observe to do the statutes and the ordinances which Yahweh gave Moses concerning Israel. Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid, and don’t be dismayed.Now, behold, in my affliction I have prepared for Yahweh’s house one hundred thousand talents of gold, one million talents of silver, and bronze and iron without weight; for it is in abundance. I have also prepared timber and stone; and you may add to them.There are also workmen with you in abundance, cutters and workers of stone and timber, and all kinds of men who are skillful in every kind of work;of the gold, the silver, the bronze, and the iron, there is no number. Arise and be doing, and may Yahweh be with you.”
