我们不会向子孙隐瞒，而要向后代讲述对耶和华的赞美，讲述他的大能和他所行的奇妙作为。他在雅各中立下法度，在以色列中设立律法，这律法是他吩咐我们的祖先教导子孙的，好让将要出生的后代子孙可以明白，并且起来向他们的子孙讲述；

好人从他心里所存的善，发出善来；坏人从他心里所存的恶，发出恶来；因为人心里所充满的，口里就说出来。

只要你们心里尊主基督为圣，无论谁要你们对你们里面的盼望做个交代，你们都要随时预备好答复他；

义人的嘴唇能牧养许多人，愚妄人却因缺乏心智而死亡。

好人从他心里所存的善，发出善来；坏人从他心里所存的恶，发出恶来。

我也要在君王们面前说出你的法度，并不致蒙羞。

你往来行走时，她就引导你；你躺下时，她就保守你；你醒来时，她就与你谈论；

我在广大的会众里传扬公义的佳音；看哪，我不会禁止我的嘴唇！耶和华啊，你是知道的。我没有把你的公义掩藏在心里，我述说了你的信实和拯救，我没有向广大的会众隐瞒你的慈爱和信实。

智慧人的嘴，散播知识；愚昧人的心，却不这样。

那时，敬畏耶和华的人彼此谈论，耶和华留心垂听。那些敬畏耶和华、尊重他名的人，在他面前都被记录在一本记念册上。

智慧人的舌头，使知识美妙；愚昧人的口，吐出愚妄。

你们的话语总要带着恩惠，像用盐调和过的，好使你们知道该怎样回答每一个人。

连过路的也不会说：“愿耶和华的祝福临到你们；我们奉耶和华的名祝福你们。”

在城门口的全体民众和长老们都说：“我们都是见证人！愿耶和华使进到你家的这女子像建立以色列家的瑞秋和莉亚两人那样！愿你在以法塔做大能的事，在伯利恒得名声！

义人的口，述说智慧；他的舌头，讲说公正。

看哪，波阿斯从伯利恒来了，他对收割的人说：“愿耶和华与你们同在！”他们对他说：“愿耶和华祝福你！”

愿耶和华回报你的作为！愿你的酬报充充足足来自耶和华——你来投靠其翅膀底下的以色列的神！”
