我眷顾他，为要叫他吩咐他的众子和他的眷属遵守我的道，秉公行义，使我所应许亚伯拉罕的话都成就了。”

“你只要谨慎，殷勤保守你的心灵，免得忘记你亲眼所看见的事，又免得你一生，这事离开你的心；总要传给你的子子孙孙。你在何烈山站在耶和华你神面前的那日，耶和华对我说：‘你为我招聚百姓，我要叫他们听见我的话，使他们存活在世的日子，可以学习敬畏我，又可以教训儿女这样行。’

污秽的言语一句不可出口，只要随事说造就人的好话，叫听见的人得益处。

我们不将这些事向他们的子孙隐瞒，要将耶和华的美德和他的能力，并他奇妙的作为，述说给后代听。因为，他在雅各中立法度，在以色列中设律法；是他吩咐我们祖宗要传给子孙的，使将要生的后代子孙可以晓得；他们也要起来告诉他们的子孙，

日后，你的儿子问你说：‘这是什么意思？’你就说：‘耶和华用大能的手将我们从埃及为奴之家领出来。那时法老几乎不容我们去，耶和华就把埃及地所有头生的，无论是人是牲畜，都杀了。因此，我把一切头生的公牲畜献给耶和华为祭，但将头生的儿子都赎出来。

善人从他心里所存的善就发出善来；恶人从他心里所存的恶就发出恶来；因为心里所充满的，口里就说出来。”

只要心里尊主基督为圣。有人问你们心中盼望的缘由，就要常作准备，以温柔、敬畏的心回答各人；

义人的口教养多人；愚昧人因无知而死亡。

我也要在君王面前论说你的法度，并不至于羞愧。

智慧人的嘴播扬知识；愚昧人的心并不如此。

那时，敬畏耶和华的彼此谈论，耶和华侧耳而听，且有纪念册在他面前，记录那敬畏耶和华、思念他名的人。

智慧人的舌善发知识；愚昧人的口吐出愚昧。

你们的言语要常常带着和气，好像用盐调和，就可知道该怎样回答各人。

过路的也不说：“愿耶和华所赐的福归与你们！我们奉耶和华的名给你们祝福！”

在城门坐着的众民和长老都说：“我们作见证。愿耶和华使进你家的这女子，像建立以色列家的拉结、利亚二人一样。又愿你在以法他得亨通，在伯利恒得名声。

义人的口谈论智慧；他的舌头讲说公平。

波阿斯正从伯利恒来，对收割的人说：“愿耶和华与你们同在！”他们回答说：“愿耶和华赐福与你！”

愿耶和华照你所行的赏赐你。你来投靠耶和华以色列神的翅膀下，愿你满得他的赏赐。”
