And when the Lord sent you out from Kadesh Barnea, he said,“ Go up and take possession of the land I have given you.” But you rebelled against the command of the Lord your God. You did not trust him or obey him.

The Lord sent you out from Kadesh Barnea. He said,“ Go up and take over the land I have given you.” But you refused to do what the Lord your God had commanded you to do. You didn’t trust him or obey him.

And when the Lord sent you from Kadesh-barnea, saying,‘ Go up and take possession of the land that I have given you,’ then you rebelled against the commandment of the Lord your God and did not believe him or obey his voice.

And at Kadesh barnea the Lord sent you out with this command:‘ Go up and take over the land I have given you.’ But you rebelled against the command of the Lord your God and refused to put your trust in him or obey him.

When the LORD sent you from Kadesh-barnea, he said,‘ Go up and possess the land I have given you’; you rebelled against the command of the LORD your God. You did not believe or obey him.

And when the Lord sent you from Kadesh barnea, saying,‘ Go up and take possession of the land which I have given you,’ you rebelled against the command of the Lord your God; you neither trusted Him nor listened to His voice.

Likewise, when the Lord sent you from Kadesh Barnea, saying,‘ Go up and possess the land which I have given you,’ then you rebelled against the commandment of the Lord your God, and you did not believe Him nor obey His voice.

And when Jehovah sent you from Kadesh- barnea, saying, Go up and possess the land which I have given you; then ye rebelled against the commandment of Jehovah your God, and ye believed him not, nor hearkened to his voice.

When the Lord sent you from Kadesh-barnea, He said,‘ Go up and possess the land I have given you’; you rebelled against the command of the Lord your God. You did not believe or obey Him.

Likewise when the LORD sent you from Kadeshbarnea, saying, Go up and possess the land which I have given you; then ye rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God, and ye believed him not, nor hearkened to his voice.

And when he sent you from Kadesh-Barnea and told you,“ Go up and possess the land I have given you,” you rebelled against the LORD your God and would neither believe nor obey him.

When Yahweh sent you from Kadesh Barnea, saying,“ Go up and possess the land which I have given you,” you rebelled against the commandment of Yahweh your God, and you didn’t believe him or listen to his voice.

維彼腴壤、民藐視之、主之所言、人弗信從兮、在於營壘、怨聲殆遍、不尊崇耶和華兮、

蓋嘉音傳我、亦傳古人、然彼聞而不信、故聽之無益、

斯民違逆、使聖神懷憂、故耶和華視若讎民、而攻擊之。

因彼不信上帝、亦不賴之以自救兮。

耶和華諭摩西曰、我以迦南錫以色列族、可於支派中、各擇一長者、至其地以窺察焉。摩西遵耶和華命、自巴蘭野遣之、所遣者悉屬以色列族之最著者、其名臚列於左、屬流便支派、撒刻子沙母亞、屬西面支派、何利子沙法、屬猶大支派、耶孚尼子迦勒、屬以薩迦支派、約瑟子以甲、屬以法蓮支派嫩之子阿書亞、屬便雅憫支派、喇孚子八氐、屬西布倫支派鎖底子迦鐵、屬約瑟子馬拿西支派、蘇西子迦底、屬但之支派、其馬利子亞米利、屬亞設支派、米加勒子西帖、屬納大利支派、縛西子拿庇、屬伽得支派、馬其子求利、此數人乃摩西遣之、以窺迦南者、嫩之子阿書亞、摩西易其名、為約書亞、摩西遣十二人、窺察迦南曰、自此而往、涉其南境、登彼山巖、度其土地、觀其居民、強弱眾寡、其處之所、或美或惡、其邑或類營幕、或類城垣、其土壤或瘠薄、或膏腴、其林木叢茂否、強固爾志、彼地之果、可攜而至。夫摩西遣彼時、乃葡萄初稔之際。其人遂往窺地、自汛野至哩哈、近哈馬之道。轉而南向、至希伯崙、原其建邑之始、前於埃及人之建鎖安七年、在彼見亞納子亞希慢、示篩、達買。遂至以實各谷、在彼斫下葡萄之枝、枝上其實纍然、二人貫之以杖、負之以肩、又取石榴與無花果、因在彼有葡萄果纍然、以色列族斫之、故稱其地以實各谷。○四十日後、窺地而反、至巴蘭野、鄰於迦鐵、見摩西亞倫、及以色列會眾、告以諸事、以土產示眾、曰爾遣我所往之地、我已至焉、果產乳蜜、此其果也。雖然、居民強悍、城垣廣大、我見亞納子於彼。亞馬力族居南方、赫人、耶布士人、亞摩哩人居山、迦南人瀕海與約但河居焉。民怨於摩西前、迦勒止之曰、我儕能克其地、當往取之。偕行者曰、彼強於我、我不可往、遂讒言於以色列族中曰、我所窺察之地、居民受其害、我所見之人、軀幹雄偉、在彼見偉丈夫、亞納子、我自較之、形猶蟿蟲、彼之視我亦若是。是夜會眾大聲號哭。以色列族怨摩西亞倫曰、我儕寧亡於埃及、或殞於曠野為幸。耶和華何導我至此、使我殲滅於刃、妻孥被擄、莫若仍歸埃及為善。於是相議曰、莫若立牧、以歸埃及。

厥後、我儕遵我上帝耶和華命、自何烈遄征、經歷曠野、其境甚廣、其形可畏、道由亞摩哩山、至迦鐵巴尼亞。當時我告爾曰、我上帝耶和華以亞摩哩山賜我、今至其境、我祖之上帝耶和華、踐其前言、錫土於爾、當前往得之、毋驚毋畏。爾曹來前、告我曰、我將遣使、往探其地、返可復我、當由何道、當至何邑。我善其言、簡於各支派中、共十有二人、彼即旋踵登山、至以實各谷、窺察其地、取其土產、以復於我、曰、我上帝耶和華所賜者、膏腴之壤也。乃爾曹違逆上帝耶和華命、不欲前往、爾在幕中者、嘖有怨言、曰、耶和華憾我、故導我出埃及、付於亞摩哩人、以殲滅我、我同儕使我喪膽、言斯土之民較我軀幹雄偉、城垣廣大、高可參天、在彼有亞納子、我何能往。我特諭爾曰、毋戰慄、毋畏葸、爾之上帝耶和華為爾先導、助爾爭戰、昔在埃及、輔翼爾眾、爾所目擊、今亦必如是。又在曠野、由爾所經之道、至於斯土、爾上帝耶和華提抱爾、如人之懷赤子、為爾所見、汝之上帝耶和華先爾遄征、以擇建營之所、爾所當歷之程、蒙其指示、晝則導以雲、夜則導以火、豈不當信乎。

會眾欲擊以石、耶和華之榮光、顯於會幕、以色列族無不目擊。○耶和華諭摩西曰、我顯異跡於斯民中、彼不篤信我、且欺侮我、伊於何底。我必降以疾疫、殄絕其族、使爾昌熾、成為大國、較彼尤眾。摩西告耶和華曰、昔爾施大力、率以色列民、出於埃及、斯土之民、知爾居處以色列族、為民目擊、以雲蔽之、晝導以雲、夜燭以大其狀如柱、今欲盡滅斯眾、與戮匹夫無異、則埃及億兆、風聞其事、普告於斯土、斯土之民、嘗聞爾名者、必曰、

上帝誓之、不許享其安息者誰、非不信之徒乎、由是觀之、彼不信、故不得享安息也、
