人莫強如吃喝，且在勞碌中享福，我看這也是出於神的手。

以我觀之、上帝所賜、既勤勞而得之、則必以飲以食、安坐而享、樂莫大焉。

若言人既勞碌、莫若以食以飲、安享其樂、我又見其權在乎天主、

A person can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in their own toil. This too, I see, is from the hand of God,

我就稱讚快樂，原來人在日光之下，莫強如吃喝快樂；因為他在日光之下，神賜他一生的年日，要從勞碌中，時常享受所得的。

你要囑咐那些今世富足的人，不要自高，也不要倚靠無定的錢財；只要倚靠那厚賜百物給我們享受的神。

我知道世人，莫強如終身喜樂行善；並且人人吃喝，在他一切勞碌中享福，這也是神的恩賜。

我所見為善為美的，就是人在神賜他一生的日子吃喝，享受日光之下勞碌得來的好處，因為這是他的分。神賜人資財豐富，使他能以吃用，能取自己的分，在他勞碌中喜樂，這乃是神的恩賜。

你只管去歡歡喜喜吃你的飯，心中快樂喝你的酒，因為神已經悅納你的作為。你的衣服當時常潔白，你頭上也不要缺少膏油。在你一生虛空的年日，就是神賜你在日光之下虛空的年日，當同你所愛的妻，快活度日，因為那是你生前在日光之下勞碌的事上所得的分。

但要在耶和華－你的神面前吃，在耶和華－你神所要選擇的地方，你和兒女、僕婢，並住在你城裏的利未人，都可以吃；也要因你手所辦的，在耶和華－你神面前歡樂。

我若當日像尋常人，在以弗所同野獸戰鬥，那於我有甚麼益處呢？若死人不復活，我們就吃吃喝喝吧！因為明天要死了。

然後要對我的靈魂說：靈魂哪，你有許多財物積存，可作多年的費用，只管安安逸逸地吃喝快樂吧！』神卻對他說：『無知的人哪，今夜必要你的靈魂；你所預備的要歸誰呢？』

你們和兒女、僕婢，並住在你們城裏無分無業的利未人，都要在耶和華－你們的神面前歡樂。

然而為自己未嘗不顯出證據來，就如常施恩惠，從天降雨，賞賜豐年，叫你們飲食飽足，滿心喜樂。」

就是人蒙神賜他資財、豐富、尊榮，以致他心裏所願的一樣都不缺，只是神使他不能吃用，反有外人來吃用。這是虛空，也是禍患。

少年人哪，你在幼年時當快樂。在幼年的日子，使你的心歡暢，行你心所願行的，看你眼所愛看的；卻要知道，為這一切的事，神必審問你。所以，你當從心中除掉愁煩，從肉體克去邪惡；因為一生的開端和幼年之時，都是虛空的。

萬軍之耶和華說：你們若不聽從，也不放在心上，將榮耀歸與我的名，我就使咒詛臨到你們，使你們的福分變為咒詛；因你們不把誡命放在心上，我已經咒詛你們了。

又對他們說：「你們去吃肥美的，喝甘甜的，有不能預備的就分給他，因為今日是我們主的聖日。你們不要憂愁，因靠耶和華而得的喜樂是你們的力量。」
